May 17, 2022 Except for that Illmatic part I agree with you. But Illmatic definitely sounds and feels like a full album. I said, hope it inspired him, he doesn't have to go from Kendrick's path. Plus, kendrick is not the first nor the only one who tried new sound and went experimental so no idea how anybody can actually think Em tryin' something experimental is following the Kendrick's footsteps. Btw, Em used Tay Keith's generic trap beats and stuff like that, you might as well say he followed new trap mumble rappers' route with that s--- with the same logic. I don't agree with it. In fact, I'm sure Em is inspired by it, probably more contentwise but hope he is also inspired sonically. It doesn't mean he has to copy Kendrick nor I want him to do so. And who gives a f--- about social media ? Em can live his life without even taking a glimpse at Twitter anyways but he loves to be hated and make songs about those stupid haters, so even if they talk s---, it's fine.

He has a personality, he is a person. He'll be inspired by things and create something of his own.
