May 20, 2022 Eminem could release the worst album of his career, and I could hate it, and my dumbass would still be hype as f--- for his next one
May 20, 2022 that’ll be the lasting effect of Eminem I think. He could put out gold or complete garbage and the hype train would still roll through town
May 20, 2022 I mean going from revival to kam… we know he can flip it and come back . I think the vast majority of Eminem fans excepted revival to be the end of marshal. I think that’s something I admire about him . Encore could of been the end. Then relapse could of been the end due to negative feed back. But the guy just doesn’t give up.
May 21, 2022 I know it's blasphemous to say, but I'd actually listen to Relapse front to back sooner than I would TES. Relapse is aggregiously disgusting, horrific, nonsensical, violent, and evocative of the feeling of... filth. But I'm a dirty little piggy, and I f---ing love it. Easily his most thematically consistent, tonally consistent, and visceral album. I don't think it's his best, but g.d., does Relapse have a unique vibe with consistently great production, interesting and catchy flows/ delivery, and great hooks, too. It's nasty. It's gross. It's great.
May 21, 2022 Relapse is the last authentic eminem and is the bar he is still yet to top ever since. That s--- is as easy to throw on as the big 3. I miss when the flows, hooks, production, and the skits were on point. Creative wordplay through imagery vs puns and dad jokes. With the Paul, kaniff and Steve berman stuff it actually feels like it contributed to the "canon" of eminem albums. I've always thought he doesnt use Steve berman anymore because eminem has basically made sellout bs music that the character would actually approve of since then
