Aug 7, 2021 You’re not getting the concept of a punchline though. It’s all random s---. Cold Wind Blows he has lines about circles, superheroes and fruit. Still a good song. It’s a s--- punchline on EPMD 2, that is all. Needs to stop or least cut down with the punchlines going forward now. Way over 11 years now and they are getting worse. It’s why people say he goes off topic, he doesn’t. Just the random punchlines make it seem so.

Aug 7, 2021 I don't mean sung out songs are s--- (even though I rarely listen to them) but how could anyone call, for example, Sing For The Moment, Pride (by Kendrick), Stargazing (Travis), Dark Fantasy (Kanye) bad songs or even bad art? Maybe, I could come up with even better examples but I'm talking from the top of my head and I wanted it to be diverse. Anyway, if you mean that most of rap is like fast food - cheap entertainment - sure, but so is most of pop music. Nevertheless, I don't consider mass appeal art a worse kind of art. Of course, you can do a s-----y song, comic book or novel (unintentionally silly, boring, etc) but if it is fun, it is still good art to me, even if it is not ambitious. Eminem is too ambitious since 2010 by the way.

Aug 7, 2021 Because these are all come from uneducated people, and its awkward. Look at that Richard song I've posted, the man just shouts about Lucille and s--- slaps without hard bass or a kick. And he needs just like 5 lines to paint a picture and provide necessary emotions, while a rapper would throw in 150 useless bars and couldn't make a popular song without pumping bass, you know? This is the gap between a real man of music and any rapper. Rap is fun, for sure. I enjoy it too, it is my guilty pleasure, but I always hear the inner voice in my head saying "William, this is not a real music, this is absurd. This is trash. Why do you listen to it?". And I can't say that I disagree with this. I can't.
