May 25, 2022 Yes, why is that even a question? Of course I prefer old em to current eminem, but it's 2022 and I don't need an unreleased song from 2002 tbh, unless it really slaps and it's very unlikely if it's getting released after 20 years lol you said that as if you wouldn't rather listen to a brand new album than a couple of 2002 unreleased songs
May 25, 2022 No i dont believe there will be a new album on friday, but i think it’s weird not releasing this on friday
May 25, 2022 I'm surprised he's even releasing this anniversary thing so close to kdot since he loves him so much. Probably was decided ages ago
May 25, 2022 Yes. His old songs are no longer who he is. No fun in such a release. If he recorded NEW songs, usings instrumentals from that era, though... That is why Stepping Stones and the final Side B track are so much fun. Just knowing he is still capable of doing that... And new things as well.
May 25, 2022 I can't reply to everyone so 1) can't be sure that guy has reddit and that is his actual profile, if I'm wrong I'll just take the L idc. We are used to taking L's around here 2) You're crazy for taking 2 unreleased songs (ask yourself why they weren't released) over a new album that we've been waiting for 2 years 3) f--- you
May 25, 2022 It’s true he isn’t just going to sit on unreleased bangers for 20 years because they don’t fit the theme of anything he’s released since then plus if there was anything worth using/releasing, he would have taken the lyrics/beats and reused them on something else. I hope I’ve been wrong about it and your hype has been justified all this time but I’d be shocked if there was anything worth getting excited about on this re-release. They’ve done it already with SSLP and Devils Knight so I don’t get why you are expecting a haul of hidden treasures on this one. It’s good promo for the new album dropping in a week or 2 though.
May 25, 2022 No interest in hearing old songs other than hearing them for nostalgia reasons. New songs over anything, no doubt. Second, he will never release unreleased songs from 20 years ago for many reasons, so no point even talking about it. Lose Yourself demo was pretty bad, just verses about dancing and shaking your body. People call that amazing and better than the original which is madness . Easily to be blinded with nostalgia when it comes to Eminem because he sounds different in every era. If he released a song from 02, just be load of people saying this should have been on the album and why doesn’t he music like this anymore.
May 25, 2022 ”Ask yourself why they wernt released”.. So if Em made 100 great songs in 2002 u think he would release all of them just because they are good? It’s normal to make around 30 tracks for an album and then pick the best or most fitting for the album, while saving the unreleased songs for future releases. I find it exciting knowing how much great stuff might vaulted and most likely some of it will be released.
May 25, 2022 An unreleased track from 02 would most likely be better than a new album. I would even be happy if they gave us the song from The Kiss skit.
May 25, 2022 Why would they drop a new album the day after making the fans go broke buying the Expanded and it's merch? that s--- makes no sense.
May 25, 2022 Just listened to the expanded edition of TES. Sounds, feels, and is exactly like the way it was back in 2002. That's greatness right there.
May 25, 2022 You know, as much as I love prime 2002-era Eminem, I’d rather have a new album over a couple of unreleased tracks from that time period.
