We know that Relapse was the breaking point (songs while he was still using drugs and songs he made sober). So, as far as I know, everything after that was sober Eminem. Aug 7, 2021 Dude, you have to look at Em's new work in a vacuum and quit comparing it to his old s---. He will NEVER be that same artist Marsh, NEVER. I would say for at this point in his career, that Kamikaze and MTBMB are both classics in his discography. The dude doesn't have the perfect storm of youth, freshly out of poverty, relationship drama, family drama, beef, drugs, and overall dysfunction that fueled his "classics". Dude has been rich for decades now, considered a GOAT, and seems to have a quiet life. The fact that he is still rapping his a--- off at this point is insane. Appreciate it or move on because he isn't going to meet your expectation.

Aug 7, 2021 Yeah, but Em never used to floss or talk about how much money he has pre-Kamikaze. And now it seems he throws a few lines about that in every verse. I can't label that as "content". The cringey punchlines (wrongfully called "bars") cannot be labeled as "content" either. At this point, I really have to believe drugs did fry his brain and he's not aware of how much he overdoes things. How repetitive he can get in a short period of time. If I was Dre, I would call him and tell him "I want you to remove the word "like" from your vocabulary for the next 5 years. You cannot use it anymore. Bye." I know sometimes rappers just want to have fun on the track. And I'm all for it when it's done properly. I enjoy songs like "Marsh" or "Little Engine" from time to time. s---, "Alfred's Theme" is one of my favorite songs in a long time. I just need more content-heavy songs. Even when he's collaborating with other artists. Even in remixes. More songs like "Darkness", just to name one of the latest ones he's done. And they don't necessarily have to be about gun violence or racial issues all the time.

At this point, it feels more like he just can't help himself and enjoys doing these unique flows. Sometimes it is quite fun as a listener, mostly it is not. Also, I will never understand why he enjoys making stupid dad puns when he still has the ability to pen songs like Darkness, Never Love Again, Castle, etc. Like that punchline s--- has to go away for real now This dude can write: Why are expectations so high?
