Jun 4, 2022 LTWYL was everywhere. Monster is a weird song. People played that song only because was Eminem and Rihanna again.
Jun 4, 2022 Rap God was pretty viral, and The Monster was big. So those are his last two imo. Even though Rap God isn't a radio song. The Monster worked cause it was catchy, just like LTWYL. Shout out Supsuck btw. I don't expect big singles again, but it would be nice if he had a big year like back in 2010, with an album era, radio/TV performances and all that, but he's scared for life, I think.
Jun 4, 2022 Revival was pop and no one liked it. No one is gonna replay a song just cause it has a pop sound. Some songs work, some don't, like every other pop feature Em has had. Well, I miss Em being bigger, but dude is 50, at least he's still relevant and has a fanbase all over the world.
Jun 4, 2022 Need Em and S80's favorite guy Drake. It would be interesting and most likely Em's biggest song in years.
Jun 4, 2022 Ih, he's not scared. Just above it at this point. Em just does what he wants & nobody in his business circle dares to tell him "no." If he really wanted to make some new record to be known far and wide like he wanted for Recovery, a Recovery-esque (& Revival-esque, without the mid-phase abortion) rollout is what we'd get. No matter what the expected ultimate reception of the album might be. Stan is mighty that way. Hated, but mighty.
Jun 4, 2022 Eh, I think it's whack tbh. Wonder if this long break will force him to promote a bit. He's a rapper who doesn't tour anymore other than a show here and there, so it's always nice when he performs on TV/Radio and everyone can see it. At the same time, he probably just wants to stay home selling ugly shirts and enjoying his millions, which is understandable.
Jun 4, 2022 lol "long break" I get what you're saying about promo, though. Could be Em uses Stan for financial & ego-driven reasons these days more than anything else, so pleasing the public beyond the music itself is not a priority. He clearly feels his obligation ends at the studio door. Fair exchange, imo, seeing as Stan uses Em as Product pretty much exclusively. Which is, in fact, the entire nature of the beast, so. You know. There's that. For those of us more interested in the artist than the art, it's all good.
Jun 4, 2022 long break after two surprise releases which makes it worse, people probably feel like they haven't seen him in years lol other than the SB Em has more big songs, he acts like it's just Stan and Lose Yourself lately, hope he will perform SFTM at the Hall of Fame thing at least.
Jun 4, 2022 If it's Em, Drake, Kendrick, Kanye, then yeah, these guys are supposed to be too big to sell under 300K. But it won't affect my enjoyment of the album, Kendrick's album was just boring as f--- period, but yeah, it also flopped. I'm also excited for Game's next album and it's going to flop
