Jun 5, 2022 Em's fanbase is probably the only one that are constantly expecting a new album. No matter when his last one was released, we're already looking out for what's next. It's like an addiction. Insane. I can't imagine other rappers' (or even outside of the rap genre) fans being like this. I'd say it's normal for any of the top artists in any genre to wait 2 to 3 years to drop a new album, on average. Maybe even more. Specially in an ever-changing style of music such as rap. And even more so if we take into account Em usually changes A LOT about his sound from album to album. Flow, cadences, beats, content. Side B dropped in 2020. Almost two years have passed by. And we've been talking, expecting and demanding a new album pretty much since the day after Side B dropped. I'd much rather wait one more year or two for him to develop a solid concept or idea and work on all areas of his craft for the new album.
Jun 5, 2022 We get 2 new songs (probably) and all people cry about is ALBUM!!! There are so many other artist lmao its sad really
Jun 5, 2022 Him constantly doing surprise albums now makes it worse & we get these wanna be Shady camp workers constantly tease s--- so we just expect something to drop
Jun 5, 2022 And the fact how petty Eminem is & how s-----y of a manager Paul Rosenberg is everytime they see s--- of their “plans” being ruined by “leakers” they probably push it back further
Jun 5, 2022 Problem is, people don't realize that shorter time in-between albums, means less evolution. If he dropped an album in 2021, I'm sure people would complain about the repetitiveness of the topics. 'Oh he's still talking about the same s--- since Kamikaze' A thought becomes an idea. And then it slowly progresses and develops until it has a shape of its own.
Jun 5, 2022 I'm sure the Superbowl and the Hall Of Fame events must have given him new ideas for songs or for an album. So maybe, what he originally had in mind for the new album changed or evolved into something he felt it'd be worthier.
Jun 5, 2022 Drake?, Kanye? Same thing happens, people are always waiting for the next one even if they just dropped. Nas has also been very active, he announced Magic and we were already waiting for KD3.
Jun 5, 2022 I genuinely think an album was scrapped in 2021/Q1 of 2022 and then he just tried to change his style or something and make a new album
Jun 5, 2022 I disagree here. I feel like his best albums came with short time in between. SSLP-MMLP, Relapse-Recovery, and Revival-Kamikaze were all a year apart
Jun 5, 2022 Revival is the only album in which you can't really identify a unique style or a switch of style. It's pretty much a mashup of MMLP2, some Recovery stuff (Castle and maybe Tragic Endings) and some 2015-2016 eminem. I mean he managed to make a drastic change from Relapse to Recovery within a year, same thing with Kamikaze after Revival, but he couldn't do it 3-4 years after MMLP2. That's how you know he didn't have the first idea about what the f--- to do even if he had ""contents"".
Jun 5, 2022 Nah bro trust me every big artist has their Stans lol, and they’re just as bad, if not worse. It’s just that this is what you’re tuned into so it seems like it’s just mainly us. Although I do agree it’s mostly true in terms of rappers nowadays, but some of the biggest artists/pop stars have people running their Stan Twitter accounts that are 100x weirder than Gustavo & Marsh combined. Like K-Pop stans can single handedly influence so much it’s crazy. Some fanbase overtook that Hall of Fame induction vote so Em didn’t win because they don’t like him lol. Our anticipation is tame imo. Some fanbases are genuinely cults & it’s very concerning
Jun 5, 2022 oh we realize but don't really care because it really did become an addiction, we want that classic album sure but our hunger doesn't allow us to wait that long.
Jun 5, 2022 Twitter is like this place but on harder drugs. The world would be a better place if they closed it.
Jun 5, 2022 This are the ones I deleted from my phone/skip on Spotify. But this is old news, it's been time for a new Em album, hope he will drop soon. Premonition (Intro) Unaccommodating (Ft. Young M.A) You Gon' Learn (Ft. Royce da 5'9'' & White Gold) Alfred (Interlude) Those Kinda Nights (Ft. Ed Sheeran) In Too Deep Godzilla (Ft. Juice WRLD) Darkness Leaving Heaven (Ft. Skylar Grey) Yah Yah (Ft. Black Thought, dEnAun, Q-Tip & Royce da 5'9'') (it's just not sonically pleasing, at least the hook isn't) Stepdad (Intro) Stepdad Marsh Never Love Again Little Engine Lock It Up (Ft. Anderson .Paak) Farewell (sometimes, it's a bit corny, but catchy) No Regrets (Ft. Don Toliver) I Will (Ft. Joell Ortiz, KXNG Crooked & Royce da 5'9'') Alfred (Outro) No way he can't make something better than Side A and B, but if he's going to keep dropping just ok projects that consist of a mix of the typical Em type of tracks ("funny", love ones,...), he should just drop his final project and quit tbh.
Jun 5, 2022 Nah guys yall really s--- if you talk about hip hop only. Ovo goons and those white kanye fans are not as bad as you guys
