Jun 11, 2022 The lead single off the soundtrack (Vegas) is far from a rock beat and actually bangs. Em had rock production on TES and it was amazing. This beat (lazily sampled from Jailhouse Rock with no noticeable enhancements) on the other hand is the type of beats Em's been rapping over since Recovery and has never sounded good on. If you like the song, which is totally fine and respectable, at the very least make good arguments to defend it. PS: Of course the song is not out yet in CDQ/HQ so I could be totally wrong about the production
Jun 11, 2022 Would love to see Eminem and Lil Wayne collab again sometime. Recovery era was hit or miss for me, but No Love and Drop the World were solid. Forgot they even did those.
Jun 11, 2022 I have my qualms with recovery, and love relapse over it in every way, but eminem's part on no love is the perfect come back verse. That opening is fantastic
Jun 11, 2022 The momentum that builds during the verse is stellar, it is really hype. I remember also thinking g.d. he's spitting so fast back then....obviously outdone now. But in that verse it makes sense. He doesn't just randomly drop the beat and start going supersonic for no reason, the whole verse is building and escalating, in intensity and speed. In fact the whole song is sick, I love the sample, Wayne's verse also feels like its building to eminems. Only thing I don't like is that em's singing is very bitchly sounding in the chorus, wish he just rapped it or did it in a lower register, but it's whatever
Jun 11, 2022 I haven't slept in 2 days and I got another night shift tonight, am I okay? Of course I am wdym
