Aug 8, 2021 Which is ironic because they’d be the 1st to be stiff when they hear that Em has worked with Dre & Bass Brothers again, but I digress.
Aug 8, 2021 Get your whole squad, send a task force in If you want it, you're 'bout to get what you asked for then Put your helmet on, strap your chin You're 'bout to get you a crash course in Who not to start a motherfuckin' rap war with THAT FLOOOOOOOOOOOW
Aug 8, 2021 I noticed something about those bars a while ago. You know how eminem is kinda infamous in they way he writes his lyrics by just jotting numerous phrases down that rhyme in little groups (8 mile bus scene etc) With these you can tell this is exactly what he did with joy/pain, fortune/fame, glory days, more to gain etc except this time he never tried to formulate them into overly wrote lyrics he just spat them almost how he wrote them, undiluted and no filler bars to make try and them make sense, he should do that more often. Too bad he goes off after the "Porters name" bar and starts spitting s-----y random fast again buy hey.
Aug 8, 2021 Yeah this pretty much sums up the majority of his newer songs. Genius parts / segments followed by random bs. If only he could focus for the whole song more often
Aug 8, 2021 Not pretending, I actually think the verse is dope and that Em did what he was supposed to do on the song. I could see the hate if this was a lazy verse or if it sounded bad. The flows and bars are crazy, and added homage paid to hip hop legends is on point. It may not appeal to everyone but to say it was "trash" or "horrible" is insane. Lol maybe the guys thinking that are the ones drinking Mountain Dew and wearing cargo shorts or whatever Earl Sweatshirt said lmao
Aug 8, 2021 It’s the same as the flow he used on Bad Husband but much less jarring lol ‘I just heard, Mockingbird, got the urge, to jot some vers-‘
Aug 8, 2021 "Borderline bipolar disorder since my stroller" part is great and it's not even that fast.
Aug 8, 2021 Most definitely. We know for sure he relapsed in mmlp2 era. It's not something he'd ever admit tho. I actually believe he still pops the odd pill to this day, just not on the scale he used to.
