Jun 20, 2022 Eminem doesn’t give a f--- what Eminem you want, he’ll be whatever he wants to be no matter what any of you r-----s say, and you MFers can keep complaining and he will put double the puns just to spite you
Jun 20, 2022 Seriously, how many times are you able to tolerate Em taking different kinds of paper (i.e toilet paper) and using that to talk about money and how much money he has now compared to before he became famous? Or how he doesn't do drugs anymore? Or s---/poop punchlines? I would forbid him to using comparison type of rhymes. The word "like..." should be off-limits for him from now on.
Jun 20, 2022 I get that. That's what I'm saying. He can make music and still not talk about his mother, father, daughters, JA Rule, MGK. There's a bunch of s--- going on in the world that the old Em would have exploited poetically in ways I can't even imagine.
Jun 20, 2022 This part: 8 bars saying practically nothing. Repetitive. And he has been doing that for a few years now. Before and after that track. Eminem never used to talk about being rich. Now, I dare you to find a song in which he hasn't mentioned money in one way or the other since Side B.
Jun 20, 2022 The problem is with Em’s music there’s always 1 step forward & another step back, we just want a new era, this one has overstayed its welcome - for awhile now. Your response to critiques of his current music being underwhelming is the same old “listen to his old s---”? Also if he’s got “nothing left to prove” why is he rapping like his oxygen tank is about to run out? If we cannot extract value from the man’s music, why wouldn’t we critique it on a music forum dedicated to his work? Also, why do you lot always need to stick up for him like he’s your little brother who’s getting bullied by the bigger kids? He’s producing a product for a market, consumers have every right to critique problems in said products, he isn’t an exception to the rule. He may be one of the most critiqued artists out there, but this doesn’t exist in a vacuum, he’s also one of the best selling artists of all time & the best selling rapper of all time, a genre where fans are more conscious of the writing from lyricists, so of course all eyes are on him. To add to this, he’s still producing music, but at a standard well established to be below his heights that catapulted him to have all these eyes on him in the 1st place, along with accolades & a significant amount of wealth. You guys act like we’re punching the man with his hands tied around his back… he’s sitting in a mansion stacking up money without having to move a muscle, he’s fine, he’s comfortable, just let us discuss without the inane rhetoric please. @CARNIFEX
Jun 20, 2022 I always remember that during the Revival era he said "rhyming gets easier but rapping gets harder" in one (or more) interviews. And that phrase stuck with me ever since. It seems to be very real, at least in his music.
Jun 20, 2022 I love the mobile line and after that but I totally agree he says the same s--- over and over and over. And the puns for Christ sake have to stop. Side b is littered with them and it’s a shame because side b is what I wanted from him in terms of not using a million features. But he just punned his way through the whole album. I really hope his new album is different but I’d be lying if I said I think it will be.
Jun 20, 2022 The King And I: VS Renegade: And I honestly tried to pick the best out of The King And I Like I said, old Em would have written a poem comparing himself to Elvis. New Em decides to be silly.
Jun 20, 2022 You gotta love when hargy checks his kitchen to see he's out of hot sauce only to see he's out of his back up hot sauce as well gets pissed and decides to own the Stans
Jun 20, 2022 Maybe I just don’t try and get my hopes up when he drops anymore idk, I’m probably the only one
Jun 20, 2022 You'd think aging makes men wiser. Making them able to reflect on life in ways they couldn't when they were younger. Unfortunately It seems to have the opposite effect on Em. He's dumbed down his lyrics for the sake of reactions. He doesn't know whether he is Slim Shady, Eminem or Marshall Mathers anymore. And I'm not even hating on him because I'll always consider myself an Eminem fan, I will always check his new music and listen to his old music at the same time.
Jun 20, 2022 I personally always find a way to still be excited for his next release criticisms aside! I'm fine with Em being a musician where I get enjoyment from his album for a few weeks then move on, of course I'd like it to laster longer and that's why I critique lol. I wanna be in a world where everyone likes the dudes music again!
