Jun 22, 2022 Many of the best tracks of his recent albums had features on them. Lucky You, Not Alike, You Gon Learn, Lock It Up, Godzilla etc. On MTBMB it were the solo tracks that ended up as filler, In Too Deep or Farewell definitely did feel expendable to the tracklist, weird Stepdad as well. Only Darkness and the short intro track were great solo songs imo. I think at this point it actually kinda helps him to focus if he has other great rappers on the same song, his verses on I Will, Yah Yah or You Gon Learn are some of his best modern verses imo. I definitely take a MTBMB style project with a great feature lineup over just Em doing all Alfreds Theme style empty songs about nothing but puns all by himself. If he would actually go back to a more focused album concept and work on something like MMLP3 then yeah it would be different and not make sense to have features on almost every song.
