Jun 27, 2022 Do you guys think producers have any sort of input on Em's music these days?. Like... I imagine that up until Relapse, Dre probably would stop him and make him change something in terms of melodies or tone, or re-record something. Do you think that still happens?. I don't think so. I think he records by himself at his own studio and he decides when the track is finished. Maybe he asks for other people's opinions afterwards about the song overall, but only once the track is completed. Like Royce, Denaun maybe even Dre.
Jun 27, 2022 The modern way is rappers sending thier verses via email to producers. Many still collab in studios together, but it isn’t as common as many people think. Side B was definitely made like that. Side A is a different story, and probably why it sounds more cohesive
Jun 27, 2022 I think producers just send him beats and he picks the ones he likes and lays vocals down and that’s it
Jun 27, 2022 This is literally how 90% of artists operate lol...you guys act like you just figured out how they built the pyramids...
Jun 27, 2022 You could tell that Eminem and Snoop Dogg were in the studio together the whole time recording and creating From The D 2 The LBC, the song is well structured and sounds more cohesive than if they were to just collab by sending verses and beats over emails
Jun 28, 2022 I still don't think I ever heard that full story...seems unlikely, certainly unreasonable for Proof to have gone off like that to me...guess I'll go down that YouTube rabbit hole later tonight...
Jun 28, 2022 I just want Em to leave his ego on the door and work with someone like Kanye or Pharrell in the studio for an entire album. That s---'ll be amazing. PS: It's Almost Dry, Album of the year still
Jun 28, 2022 I also just realized that on the track a------, Em's first few bars are entirely in sync with the drums in the back. Maintaining a unique flow like that while actually saying something must be hard to do. MMLP2 is legit underrated.
Jun 28, 2022 Don't think you could have picked two worse producers for him to work in a hypothetical scenario lol...
Jun 28, 2022 Came to the world at a time when it was in need of a villain An a------, that role I think I succeeded fulfillin' But don't think I ever stopped To think that I was speakin' to children Everything was happenin' so fast It was like I blinked—sold three million Then it all went blank, all I remember is feelin' ridiculous ‘Cause I was gettin' sick of this feelin' Like I'm always under attack, man I could have stacked my s--- list to the ceilin' Women dishin' but really thinkin': "If anyone ever talks to one of my little girls like this I would k--- him." On paper, at the very least, a------ is easily one of the best tracks on the album. That awful beat and hook however..........
Jun 28, 2022 d--- really? Could you elaborate? I just feel that the success Kanye had with Pusha on Daytona and It's Almost Dry is really something. Also, someone like Kanye has an ear for what sounds good and could actually tell Em as it is. The problem however is that both Em and Kanye have massive egos, which would make it hard for them to work together on an entire project.
Jun 28, 2022 Their production sounds are vastly opposite the normal Eminem production machine...a track or two sure...an entire album...would never work...
Jun 28, 2022 I don’t know why I get 2.0 vibes from the Em and Snoop track. Don’t know if it’s the beat or the hook or what.. pretty weird and random but I just thought I should share.. dope track nevertheless
Jun 28, 2022 Their website isn't updated yet. Drake should be number 1 and it still has Harry Styles as number 1.
Jun 28, 2022 maybe they learned from MTBMB side a and side b and put it out in one strike this time. They're also killing two birds with one stone and releasing all of his hits on another disc, something like shady xv, tes expanded. So a disc with new material does make sense.
