Jul 7, 2022 Notice how incredible this reads & flows whilst there isn’t a SINGLE pun/play on words in sight. Em really mastered rap on a lot of Relapse tracks. This >>> feeling the need to have an unnecessary punchline every couple of bars
Jul 7, 2022 Him still calling Em "the white boy" is not only racist in 2022 but also shows he never got over how Em outrapped him and outsold him. Without Em, JayZ would probably be the undisputed GOAT to 90% of the culture. Em is to Jay what Messi is to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jul 7, 2022 I’d love to see a huge hiphop beef with Eminem and 50 Cent going against Jay-Z and The Game
Jul 7, 2022 I'd say he mastered his ability to flow like this while still spitting multiple syllabic rhyme schemes in general on The Eminem Show and not on Relapse. A lot of his amazing flows on Relapse are more or less an extension of the TES style, with a twist being the accents (not in this song). With how technical he got over time, he ended up devolving his flow and rhyme schemes considering he was packing multis, keeping his schemes structured and not all over the place and still flowing flawlessly all over the beat. He made it sound so easy back then that most people didn't even notice. Songs like Bully, White America, Renegade and Till I Collapse were loaded with impressive yet structured rhyme schemes but not at the cost of delivery, flow or content like Right For Me. Nonetheless, good point.
Jul 7, 2022 Bad Guy came into the playlist yesterday. This line got me thinking: I think Em's voice and tone changed so much over the years (into something that's less appealing to the ear) because his vocal cords are pretty damaged. He had to re-adapt and come up with something that would still allow him to perform songs only live and also to extend what's left of them for years. I think he couldn't do the Till I Collapse flow and delivery even if he tried really hard. This becomes more and more evident every time he performs Lose Yourself live.
Jul 7, 2022 Yeah, I didn’t mean it as in that was his peak rapping ability or when he first seemingly ‘mastered’ it, because obviously there’s MMLP & TES. But still, Relapse is ridiculously impressive from a flow/rhyming perspective. Beats were insane too.
Jul 7, 2022 Someone shared this on Twitter yesterday. I guess a neighbor of his got door dash and the driver snapped the photo
Jul 7, 2022 Lol. There's no such thing as racism towards white people under any circumstance u dummy !!!!!!!!!!!
Jul 7, 2022 I am serious. Racism is a two way street. Where is it written that black/yellow/whatever can't be racist?.
Jul 7, 2022 Well on s80 I said numerous times that the constant "white people this white people that" is just as stupid. But white people are the only ones that are wrong and guilty I guess
Jul 7, 2022 Yeah. It should be "people this, people that". No race, no gender. It is true though that black people have suffered the most and for the longest. But also, in this day and age, there's definitely a retaliation of sorts. "We can be racists too". Specially in Hip-Hop which is "black music" and they hate to see white artists doing better than some black artists. And I hate to even use the terms white or black but there's no other way to explain it or describe it.
Jul 7, 2022 If I would make the rules I would ban anyone that mentioned race or whatever when it didn't matter to the discussion. Dead serious. Only in america it seems people are so obsessed w it. Also I don't feel guilt for s--- poeple did hundreds of years ago. It f---ing s----d but not our fault. Not just slavery btw same with germans for ww2 etc
