Jul 12, 2022 Beautiful belongs on a different album and ruined an otherwise perfect new sound... Crack a Bottle is ok but shoulda been placed somewhere else, and Underground is corn and fits thematically but also sounds out of place in terms of his rapping style. Deja Vu was a PERFECT song to end on. Even the way the guitars fade out near the end and conceptually it made perfect sense, as we 'go through the relapse of drugs and murder etc.' then right at the end, he wakes up and recounts it = PERECT. They fkn ruined it with those 3 songs. I bet the album Eminem turned in didn't have them but label execs were like 'Well, we need to include Crack a bottle as it's a hit' (as it leaked, so no gaurantee it would have made the album otherwise) and maybe Em put Beautiful on there as a safety test for himself to see incase people didn't like the new style, and then low and behold Recovery = emotional tracks with sung hooks aka Beautiful. He's such an artistic p----.
