I feel like most of the features recently are too similar in subject matter, regardless of actual quality. Listened to Arose the other day & it’s that kind of writing/storytelling that separates him from the rest. Not this fast rap/dad jokes

Jul 21, 2022 That was with no promo & basically advertised as a deluxe edition lol. Em’s probably already sold over 30k in pre orders. A lot of his fan base are old school and love physical copies. CC2 won’t do incredible, but it’s an album for the long run, not just first week sales. People in 20 years who are just getting into Eminem will buy both Curtain Call and CC2. It’ll age really well
Jul 21, 2022 the whole castle/arose thing is fascinating. the musicality, bending time, writing to his daughter over decades with letters (stan). it's a hidden gem in his discog, on the back half of his worst album. it doesn't quite stick the landing (both songs are kinda forgettable) but it's still a dope concept

Like all my friends who aren't into music had NO clue about MTBMB being released. He needs to promote this s--- better tbh.

Jul 21, 2022 What do you mean it didn’t work? How so? Personally, I think it hit in every way. The only complaint I have is that you have to get through so much s--- in the middle of Revival to get to those gems at the end, so it definitely would’ve been appreciated more on a better album.
Jul 21, 2022 it (castle/arose) should be at least somewhat celebrated, or acknowledged. it's not. it's not on CC2, because the songs are bad. or at least didn't quite work. which is a shame because the lyrics are top tier
