Jul 21, 2022 Well, it's not secret that the older you are, the harder it gets to learn new stuff, specially technology wise. He spent his 20s and 30s and even the better part of his 40s writing, recording, touring, etc. Throw in the overdose and rehab as well. So it wouldn't be crazy to think he never had time to become familiar with computers and stuff. Although he is a producer and I bet he records himself like 70% of the time nowadays, so I'm guessing he does know how to move within Protools and stuff.
Jul 21, 2022 How do first week sales work for greatest hits albums? Does any stream of an included song count, or does it have to be streamed from the exact album. If it’s the ladder the sales are f----- for first week
Jul 21, 2022 They going to drip feed snippets of this snoop and Em interview til CC2 drops. 1 minute clips every 3 nights for next 2 weeks. That’s the promo
Jul 21, 2022 lol no. I already thought DaBaby was mid and then he started flopping left and right, I don't remember his last succesful single.
Jul 21, 2022 An actual interview would have been nice, this is so awkward and Em seems so nervous like they kidnapped him. Paul's s-----y camera work doesn't help. Still nice to see them cool again though.
Jul 21, 2022 I think he looks awkward because he's staring at the camera. When he talked to Kxng Crooked he was facing towards Crooked so it looked more normal. But that was an actual interview, so...
Jul 21, 2022 May he never do a promo run for a album again. Revival and this just don’t work and completely pointless. Just does not work in this current, streaming era. Waking up to a album, unexpected from artist you enjoy, is close to a feeling you get to waking up at Christmas as a kid again. Cut out the BS and drop the product. I get why this is being done the way it is, horribly executed in every way. But if this was a solo album. It would be like this.
Jul 21, 2022 Any stream counts, that's essentially why curtain call is still charting at 588 weeks or some s---. However, I can't quite remember if billboard changed its rules. I remember seeing something that a requirement for an album to chart it would have to be ~50% new material, but I'm not sure and I can hardly find anything about it.
Jul 21, 2022 h---, there really hasn’t even BEEN any promo outside out announcing it on Twitter a week and a half ago. At least with Revival, we had those Trevor spots and the billboard thing.
Jul 21, 2022 I found this from the CEO of the official charts company. “If a track appears on multiple albums, its chart-eligible streams are awarded to the album highest in the charts.” So on first week I don’t believe the sales would go towards the greatest hits album, just their original albums
Jul 21, 2022 The whole Trevor thing, Revival ad and promo for that was a disaster and didn’t do anything for me. Wasn’t it Trevor that announced the album as well? Then a fan website announcing the tracklist. Mess.
