Jul 21, 2022 think of it like this (weekly stats) godzilla - 10 mil streams rap god - 10 mil streams crack a bottle - 10 mil streams MTBMB gets 50 mil streams total, 10k physicals MMLP2 gets 35 mil streams total, 8k physicals Relapse gets 40 mil streams total, 7k physicals If CC2 gets 30k physicals in this example, automatically all the streams go to this album because it's the highest charting. MTBMB, MMLP2, and Relapse will get their streams deducted because it goes to CC2 instead. All charting takes place at the same time when it restarts on Friday. However, albums are delayed and put on billboard a week later because data has to be collected from streaming services, radio play, and physical CD selling websites, and all that fun stuff from that charting week, which takes time.

Jul 21, 2022 I disagree. The slow buildup towards the marked date, with pieces of information, the cover and an interview before the album can never compare to surprise drops. Plus, surprise drops aren't surprising anymore because we're all actually expecting it now. Every thursday. Just take a look at the past 50+ pages. Analyzing the CC2 cover over and over again, the supposed tracklist, etc. I think it's still worth it. It just wan't worth it with Revival.
