Aug 5, 2022 Eminem’s team went from excellent mixing to saliva spit in every sentence Eminem’s team went from promoting Curtain Call 1 with literal f---ing branded tracks on highways to paying Z-List celebrity YouTubers for promo They can’t even update the shady records website to include Grip in the artists section.
Aug 5, 2022 Has NoLifeShaq EVER uttered any type of criticism towards Em? He's a dickrider if he never did.
Aug 5, 2022 Godzilla: the whole mix is different. More reverb, slightly different EQ. The outro is a bit different. + Aderall instead of Alcohol in Verse 1. Lucky You: EQ/Mastering Lighters: EQ/Mastering Gnat: Different intro (vinyl crackling noise + "yeah") + Different outro (more delays fx) Cinderella Man: EQ/Mastering Walk On Water: EQ/Mastering. Shorter Outro. Rap God: EQ/Mastering Love The Way You Lie: EQ/Mastering Won't Back Then: EQ/Mastering Higher: - Bezerk: EQ/Mastering Not Afraid: EQ/Mastering From The D to the LBC: - Nowhere Fast: EQ/Mastering Fall: EQ/Mastering Phenomenal: EQ/Mastering Fast Lane: EQ/Mastering You're Never Over: EQ/Mastering 3 AM: EQ/Mastering (Writing this at 3:59am right when he's spittiing "It's almost 4 in the morning and you're in a...." literally, I swear) Space Bound: EQ/Mastering ----- NO SOUND PROBLEM. NO GAPS. (Still his best love/relationship song to date) Beautiful: EQ/Mastering The Monster: EQ/Mastering Venom: EQ/Mastering (I don't know how anyone can hate on this track, honestly) Crack A Bottle: EQ/Mastering Is This Love: - River: EQ/Mastering Survival: EQ/Mastering Best Friend: EQ/Mastering (Em's best verse post hiatus) Darkness: - King Never Die: EQ/Mastering No Love: EQ/Mastering Headlights: EQ/Mastering The King And I: - Farewell: EQ/Mastering Rap God: - Overall the whole thing sounds like they applied the same EQ with more bass, significantly less mids and bumped the higher frequencies a little. Which make tracks sound groovier while sharpening vocals without making them sound too 'in-your-face'. This is called the "V-shaped EQ" type of preset. Mastering sounds louder overall too (which is why some Delay and Reverb FXs become more noticeable). If you listen closely, songs from MTBMB have no EQ/Mastering difference. I guess they wanted the rest of his songs from 09 up to 2019 to sound closer to MTBMB (Remember when I said MTBMB Was Mixed By God? I even had that text below my avatar for 2 years). Makes sense though since each album is mixed and mastered differently, they wanted CC2 to have some sort of cohesion. Personal opinion: Disc 2 is far better than Disc 1. Also, I just realized Eminem is the biggest (most talented) artist in history right after Michael Jackson. Crazy, he doesn't even dance or sing. That shows how good he actually is. Yet, Royce thinks JayZ is better. Crazy right?
Aug 5, 2022 I called it. I literally said that three (or more) weeks ago. I said CC2 was the end of a chapter. After that Em would start his final era. With a new style/sound/content or whatever. https://forum.sectioneighty.com/eminem-general-discussion-thread.t296380/page-3640#post-3674612
Aug 5, 2022 Just know that whenever CC3 comes out, that'll be it. Eminem's This Is It (less tragical though, hopefully). Enjoy the final chapter and stop bitching. You gonna miss him when he's gone.
Aug 5, 2022 Actually, I feel the same for the first 4 tracks so far. But I might be completely wrong... Ohh, and I think it might be my equalizer settings of my phone I changed yesterday lol. EDIT: Just finished listenin Cinderella Man and WoW. They definitely did a great job with remastering and mixing. Songs sound so much pure, vocals are crisp clear, beats sound a lot more clean. Loving this!
