Aug 26, 2022 The 2022 MTV VMAs are only three nights away, and this year’s show promises a mix of both newcomers and veterans performing on the main stage. On the veterans side, two notable rap legends will join together for an unforgettable performance that spans the continental United States. Eminem and Snoop Dogg will pair up to perform their duet hit “From the D 2 the LBC.” The joint venture will mark each of the rappers’ first times performing at the VMAs in over a decade. Eminem last hit the stage for “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie” in 2010, while Snoop most recently linked up with Diddy and a video of the late rap legend Notorious B.I.G. in 2005 for a rendition of “Juicy" and "Warning." In addition to its title creating a literal connection from Em’s home of Detroit to Snoop’s Long Beach County in California, “From the D 2 the LBC” is likewise notable for being inspired by the world of the Otherside metaverse. MTV partnered with Yuga Labs to help bring the performance to life.
Aug 26, 2022 His voice is mostly unbearable these days. The feature with Grip was the best it sounded in years. I think he has vocal chord surgery to "preserve" his old shady voice. But instead he just sounds like a robotic constipated clone
Aug 26, 2022 This was recorded before side b came out, right? This doesn't give us an insight on his current sound.
Aug 26, 2022 Nothing we heard in the last year and half does Lol Is This Love is clearly re-recorded but still a Relapse song, song with Snoop is from 2021, that s--- with Cordae too, this is from about 2 years ago. I don't remember any other song but that's pretty much it I think he doesn't even know how he sounds, he's probably taking his time to reinvent himself or see what the fans like with these old songs
Aug 26, 2022 well I forgot about JBM but same thing as Is This Love and The King And I probably wasn't that recent, plus third verse sounds like EPMD2, so
Aug 26, 2022 10/10 for sure. This reminds me of some of his features in 2010. You can actually "feel" the emotion from Em again here. Most of the people hating are trolls or simps. Great verse and Dre killed the beat
Aug 26, 2022 How on earth is this verse choppy? ShadyXV Em is choppy and all over the place with his flow, but this here is fine.
Aug 26, 2022 Sometimes I think people just dislike that Em pronounces words faster and then they just say it's a "choppy flow".
Aug 26, 2022 Not for a gospel rap song. I personally don't like it, but I wasn't planning on listening to this more than 1 time anyway. Em on Donda would have been way better, and on MBDTF would have been perfect. Really hope he will work with Kanye and Nas again when his collabs start getting better again.
