Aug 29, 2022 My Darling is another good song that was inexplicably left off an album with mostly inferior songs. Also Castle and potentially Discombobulated (which no one will ever convince me isn't a Relapse leftover with mostly rerecorded verses). Cf. 3rd tier tracks like The Kids and JBM not making MMLP. Without overstating the point, I wonder how much of his post-hiatus albums not making the grade was due to poor judgment in the track selection process. Was there enough high quality material recorded for Relapse and Recovery to make considerably better albums, but Eminem and whoever else involved were just too incompetent to pick the right songs? We'll never know. (Though I've tried to create a "classic" Recovery using his best songs from the period there were only a few as good as Castle and Cocaine.)
Aug 29, 2022 Everything Eminem does is not amazing but I like most of it for what it is. Plus I'm just happy to have his music still at all. The amount of gems we have post comeback is really pretty amazing considering he shouldn't even be alive now. Plus as a recovering alcoholic for the last 6 years i can relate to a lot of it. But like was said the extreme love and hate on both sides is ridiculous.

I’d imagine back between Recovery and MMLP2 his team and him were too incompetent to know which songs were the best and/or were picking songs they thought would have pop appeal over actual good songs. From Revival onward though there’s no telling whether or not the songs that were left off were any better or worse. Eminem is now just way too inconsistent to even try to predict it
Aug 29, 2022 Between the poor CGI used for the Gnat video, Higher Video and Paramount + interview about LL and the technology for AI Em songs on YouTube it’s obvious that OG isn’t alive. That’s not trolling that’s real talk. I have come to accept that Em for the last 13 years or so isn’t the same person.
Aug 29, 2022 With Em he always manages to improve something and then start to f--- it up. Or improve in one area but then move backwards in another area at the same time. I genuinely think kamikaze and MTBMB were good. Majority of those albums he’s put out are enjoyable when you listen to them. His beat selection has gotten better than revival(not difficult to do) but again his music has been littered with puns, s-----y flows on features, and he has just stopped caring about mixing or vocal layering at this point. The fact the biggest rapper of all time and one of the richest in the world can’t get a proper mix on some of his songs and features is shocking.
