Aug 30, 2022 The main issue I have with some of the "woke people" (for lack of a better word) is that they hide behind the whole inclusive, lhbki+ (dunno the exact letters lol) race stuff yet still treat other people with different views like s---. To me its all about respect for eachother. Whether its right winged racist assholes or left social justice warriors, they all have a lot of s-----y people that care more about forcing their opinion down people's throats than the actual issues. And that is what bothers me. Like, making a joke about a gay or black person, doesn"t make me a racist or homophobe. I make jokes about fat people I know too, or red haired. All in good fun. I mean lots of people love South Park ffs all they do is make fun of everything lmao. I am getting a little tired of all the inclusive s--- because its all you hear. I treat everyone I know the exact same , if someone is a transgender, fine. I don't give a s--- and I don't think anyone deserves special attention. Just let everyone do what makes them feel happy. As long as people don't bother me with it and forcing me to get involved, fine. People need to look at their own lives a little more instead of constantly bitching about others. also, let Nas X make as many gay sex movies as he wants! I'm not interested, but people that are actually offended by it.... lol
Aug 30, 2022 Look man, it comes down to class consciousness. If you possessed it, you’d understand that intersectionality isn’t a divide, as we’re all under the same umbrella of class. Within the class structure, certain groups are further marginalised & others are privileged as a tactic of rule & separation of us organising. By you weaponising identity, you’re fomenting divide that benefits the ruling class & undermines our commonalities. You’re doing what you’re complaining about because you don’t understand & are unwilling to listen. Intersectionality should be promoted in society whilst teaching the overarching class structure in order to not be reductionist, which is what you’re being with this whole ‘let’s move on’ talk. You have no right to tell further marginalised & oppressed people how to feel. You can only speak for yourself. Understanding the material conditions of society, allows us to address them. Ignoring them however, maintains the oppressive structure you’re telling people to ‘move on’ from. Hope this helps.
Aug 30, 2022 Lmao. I can't even begin to tell how ignorant this comment was but whatever, yeah right, it's a pyramid scheme lmao....
Aug 30, 2022 I get the message of what you're saying and I agree with you on the jokes part (as long as it's handled well cause there's some people that disguise their true feelings as "jokes") but I disagree on the respect portion lol if I see objectively false stances being made I'm going yo view you as a piece of s--- no matter what.
Aug 30, 2022 I do see a difference between objectively false stances and opinions tbh. So yeah we agree and disagree.. gues you are a half piece of s--- then!!!
Aug 30, 2022 It's better to sit in the middle cause too far one way or another you're basically a f---ing weirdo lunatic
Aug 30, 2022 This reminded me of Ricky Gervais "Supernatural" show on Netflix. If you haven't watched it, go watch it. I would explain the part he talks about pedos but I'm afraid I won't do it justice. But basically "everything is a disease now". You can't say somebody is fat "oh no, that's a disease, don't be mean". Well then, let's not call pedophiles, pedophiles. Because 20 years from now someone's gonna discover "it's a disease"... For those of you who are short-minded, this is all obviously said sarcastically and jokingly. Well, not just in America. The same thing is happening in many parts of the world. Spanish-speaking countries such as mine as well. They want you to change letters and nouns to include those who feel left out by the dictionary. I think it's crazy. There are far more important things to do and change to show respect for those who have been marginalized and feel left out than a couple of letters. I respect everybody and their choices. I embrace all cultures and backgrounds. I even respect those who do want to change and embrace the inclusive language, as long as they don't try to correct me or those who feel THAT part of it all is simply bs. I've had heated discussions with people at gatherings or birthday parties that would try to correct me... like "it's THEY... not SHE" or "you should say this instead of that" (can't really translate the exact words as it's totally different in Spanish) and I'd go batshit crazy. I'd literally lose my s--- in front of everybody. And then, when the event was over, I'd come home and feel bad about it. So now, whenever something like that happens, I laugh it off and continue to speak however the f--- I want to. The way I was taught. The right way. And if it pisses YOU off, then I suppose you aren't as accepting and as inclusive as you trying to project.
Aug 30, 2022 Agree on that last part. Like, example. If I see a woman (like, back when females still excisted) I say hello lady or something. If she turns around and says well I don't want you to call me female... honestly, fine. But I've seen Demi Lovato say that people called her a woman made 'a mistake and we all make mistakes'. Like what the actual f--- lmaooo. No, nobody that calls Demi a woman makes a mistake, they just say what they see. If she wants to be called different, that is fine and I feel sorry for all the s--- she is going through, but there is no mistake in calling something how it looks imo
