Aug 19, 2021 Yeah but it's also due to the fact that he had a concept in his mind for the album. He was in the serial killer bag and he was determined to carry it all the way through the album. He knew what he wanted to rap about, he knew HOW he wanted it (with the accents) and it has Dre's stamp all over it. That's exactly why I want him to take a step back, come up with a theme for the next album, then pick 2 producers (3 at most, not more) and then start working on the album with a clear idea in his mind. With determination. "I want the beats to sound like this, I want my voice to sound like this, I want the lyrics to be like this". And when the album is done, promote the h--- out of it with a strong first single, a good video, interviews, etc. And in the end, if it doesn't work then you'll know there's not much else for you to do in the game. But at least you did everything from A to Z properly.
Aug 19, 2021 I agree 100%. Pretty much all of his albums since at least Revival have just seemed like a list of random songs. I know he was trying to please everyone with revival but MTBMB, while a great album, is still just pretty much a long list of random songs. And I think him working with a shitload of different producers is the reason it sounds the way it sounds.
Aug 19, 2021 Revival was a mess. It was supposed to be the "woke Em" but only 2 or 3 songs on it are about Eminem being awake or mature - AND they were carried out rather poorly. If there was supposed to be a theme in it, it got lost somewhere. It is definitely not a woke Eminem. Believe me, I would love a full album debunking politicians, religion, business, protected pedophiles, etc. The closest thing to a mature Em I've heard is probably Recovery, and even in The Eminem show in which he gets into politics and life, etc. Encore could have been great if it had more songs like Mosh (THAT is woke Em), Like Toy Soldiers and Yellow Brick Road.

Aug 19, 2021 Revival is one of the most utter trashes rollouts in music history. Terrible single choices, horrible cover, the album is a mess. Eminem also looks terrible there too. Production sucks a---. Rock songs don’t fit the album. Skits are unfinished tracks. Wtf were they thinking?

Aug 19, 2021 I still like Kamikaze except those 3 tracks I mentioned. It's just a bit cringy how he blames it on everyone but himself. He doesn't understand that he dropped a bad album. I understand being mad at the snakes around him though. And that dude that talked s--- about Em for views. Never heard about him again.
