Sep 5, 2022 Agreed They’re first outing was in the 60’s or something so The Who should definitely be labelled as an “old” act tbf
Sep 5, 2022 Everyone on here that’s on Freddie’s nuts why don’t y’all support him more cause these numbers ain’t it dawg
Sep 5, 2022 The internet told them eminem needs to promote better because he doesn't spoonfeed his artists anymore. So they think he'd have ruined 9K freddie Gibbs. Freddie is a good artist but shady records would have helped him out. Most of the artists ems signed don't have huge mainstream appeal and record sales aren't what they were when Obie, 50 and d12 were on board. But once again eminem bad cause Twitter users say so and complaining about em is cool.
Sep 5, 2022 Eminem was on top of the world back then that’s why which makes sense but even now, whenever he’s featured on someone’s album or even someone else disses him they automatically get double or triple the views they’d normally get. But I do agree that Em should’ve put out a separate album for the label like he did with The Re Up/Shady XV with his newer signees but maybe he’s just tired of artists he signs f---ing him over in the long run. Him & Cashis had something brewing then the whole Joe Budden thing happened. Plus everyone trashes Em when he’s apart of s--- now so he could stay away from his artists projects for that simple reason too. Sorry for the book, I’m just ranting on this boring a--- labor day
Sep 5, 2022 I think some people don’t understand why sales are so low these days. If you’re streaming on Spotify Premium, 1,250 streams = 1 album sale. If you’re on the ad-supported version of Spotify, it’s going to take 3,750 streams to = 1 album sale. Take Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By for example. That album is 20 tracks long. You’d have to listen to each track 62.5 times on Spotify Premium or 187.5 times on Spotify Free to even give Eminem 1 album sale. Sep 5, 2022 People actually buy his albums too though, either they buy it in store or order it online… they’re always sold out in minutes. Im just saying. If y’all really like a certain artist then give them the same energy. Not talking about you directly.
Sep 5, 2022 I streamed it bro. Doesn’t make me less of a fan if I don’t buy it.. Most accessible and easiest way, for me to hear music is my Spotify. Goes for any artist.
Sep 5, 2022 Yeah I get it. I don’t care about Freddie Gibbs that much, I rarely listen to him. I’m just letting people know why album sales in general are low these days since most people only stream the music and not buy it
Sep 5, 2022 They’re definitely lower in a way. Only artists like Drake, Kendrick, Eminem, Cole, etc… will get over 200-300k first week easily
Sep 5, 2022 people forget that Eminem was on top of the world when he signed d12,Obie and 50. Once Marshal stepped away from d12 & Obie they had no careers from themselves . Eminem didn’t want that for shady 2.0 artists. He wanted them to be able to stand on their own.
Sep 5, 2022 Plot twist: Eminem fell off on purpose so that his new artists wouldn't take advantage of his fame
Sep 5, 2022 Plus albums don’t sell like they did in the early 2000’s. Of course boogie isn’t getting the same album budget as 50 cent had for GRODt. You’d just be in debt to the label for your entire life.
