Sep 8, 2022 No he said that's the vibe he wanted to give off in the first verse or so before listeners realized it was a sequel to Stan
Sep 8, 2022 lol so paul said there was never another relaspe 2 album part from the leaked songs and songs on refill but then em was like nah we had a whole album theirs still songs
Sep 8, 2022 Wish he knew that Relapse is a cult album and realises that it’s loved by a lot of his fanbase even if he still not keen on it. Part of him dismissing it so much was initial reaction to the album and felt like he pandered to the critics with it. Still feel like he hates on it too please people as he thinks no one likes it.
Sep 8, 2022 That was definitely what i thought first time i heard it back when it leaked. Like s--- he is back on his relapse vibes and is about to k--- this random chick and then the short sus build up to "here's your bronco hat you can have it back cus they s---!" And boom we are right back in the car with stans delivery. Amazing first listen, not to mention the last part
Sep 8, 2022 Felt flat before it though until the turn of what the song was about and reveal . Didn’t execute it well before that imo
Sep 8, 2022 Lol yeah f---ing Paul trying to create this scenario that they have never said in many many interviews back in the day that there were like 100+ songs created for those albums, glad Em wasnt onboard with that "wait, say that again?" Great interview, the way they are specificly talking about the albums and the tracks that leaked and didnt make certain albums it wouldnt surprise me if Em mentions the track from the kamikaze sessions that "definitely went too far"
Sep 8, 2022 For sure it felt like it was missing something up until that third verse when things started to shift and get interesting
Sep 8, 2022 i wont tolerate relapse slander even from eminem himself, Hello and Must Be The Ganja are bangers
Sep 8, 2022 He didn't really stop, you can hear it on most of MTBMB too. It's pretty evident on songs like Godzilla for instance, but on Side B he went more soft and he didn't really have songs that required that, except for maybe Alfred's Theme and Discombobulated
Sep 8, 2022 d--- Paul wanted drums on walk on water. This the time I wish ‘Em would’ve listened. Still an underrated song
