Sep 8, 2022 Listening to the Paul Pod now. I’m surprised they actually went into this much detail. Em feels like an actual person during this interview
Sep 8, 2022 Interesting question for all of us here. When did we become Em fans? For me it was when he was gone probably 2006,2007.Although i didn't know he was gone and almost died of an overdose.I had a couple of songs like Stan,TRSS,The Way i am,Without me,Lose yourself,Mockingbird and when i'm gone on my mp3 player lol.I was only 8 years old.
Sep 8, 2022 First of all, em doesn't like to talk much, y'all should have learned this by now. So sure, in order to keep it going, Paul talks a lot, em basically says yeah and barely opens up and gives more info on most of the subjects. And he didn't say anything to be complained about but yet people are, lmao get a life... I thought the interview was good, it felt better than an usual em interview, more intimate. Only thing that might have been a let down is that em said some fans might think he fell off he doesn't rap fast etc. That's not ok. I mean first of all, f--- fans or anybody who tries to make you do art as different than you feel. Like who cares what anybody would think at this point. Just make music as you feel, as you wanna hear yourself. Plus, anybody who think fast rap means good rap and unless em does Fast rap he fells off shouldn't be taken seriously anyway. None of the real fans think that way neither. Every fan that actually still cares about em and listens to him the most are pretty much dying to hear him rap smoothly and actually he does sometimes minus the parts on songs where he changes flows sometimes etc. But other than that, i don't see anything to complain here.
Sep 8, 2022 Fan since 2002 but i was so little, my dad had the Eminem show album and I was keep listening to it when I was 6. I wasn't understanding anything but it sounded too good to me. After he stopped making music and went into hiatus, i slowly stopped listening to it. But when his relapse songs leaked i started to get into his music again. Shortly after, i was listening to tes, and older stuff again bc relapse wasn't as catchy as those were to me. That's about time i got into lyricism and hip hop more and actually understand hip hop music better. Recovery was a huge let down to me bc it almost sounded like some other artist to my ears. I was never a fan of 2010s hip hop sounds anyway. I don't think I seriously loved and was mad about any em album until kamikaze dropped.
Sep 8, 2022 I’m surprised I didn’t hear “LL Cool J is so dope and beastie boys was my favorite growing up” for the 1500th time lol
Sep 8, 2022 We can talk about bad lines and cringe songs since Recovery if you want. Both songs must be diamond, so it seems like most people enjoyed them.
Sep 8, 2022 Exactly, it was the pop rap era, not just for Em, for Wayne, Drake, Jay, Kanye, T.I.,... but if you hate pop you will obviously hate that era.
Sep 8, 2022 So you think I bought all them Em CDs in the last 10 years? lol I was buying Em and Rihanna CDs way before 2010 Sups. I couldn't follow Em from the start, but I did with Rihanna. I also went to see 8 Mile You just can't accept that the real world loved Recovery, it's just nerd forums hating on it.
Sep 8, 2022 he sounded alright on “Is this love”. I’m fine with the accent. I just feel like that was everyone’s main gripe about relapse
Sep 8, 2022 Yeah, I was thinking about that. Given that he's been re-recording old songs, it wouldn't be crazy to assume that now that he knows for a fact fans were asking them to release the Relapse 2 leftovers, he can go back and pick the best ones and re-record them and sprinkle them in different projects like he did with Discombobulated.
