Sep 11, 2022 This is my take on the relapse sequencing and including beautiful. From the Dr West skit, Eminem is lured into taking drugs again and we basically start the run of "relapse" type songs covering the serial killer, warped childhood, f----- s--- stuff (which em himself has said was a metaphor for addiction instead of just making a mopey album). This culminates to the overdose in Mr Mathers Skit, the events of which are detailed in Deja Vu After this Eminem comes out of the funk, with beautiful with a sobered reflection of the addiction, and then we see a more traditionally rapping em here, in crack a bottle and then underground (em said this was him trying to emulate rapping in the hip hop shop). Beautiful, crack a bottle and underground come at the end as they're the post OD (Mr Mathers/ deja vu) element of the relapse story and they're more traditionally "Eminem" songs as they're after the addiction. That how I've always seen it with the way the album plays out
Sep 11, 2022 I love Rap God, Groundhog Day and Evil twin. That's the top 3 for me. Then Rhyme Or Reason.
