Sep 15, 2022 The analogy he used about “Watching a movie and missing a key scene” is a bit odd too. Like, he makes it seems as if it’s “Fight Club” or something. Like “Castle” and “Arose” are the hotel scene when we find out it’s been one person this entire time “Revival” is not a concept album. Yes, those two last tracks are great but it doesn’t connect to the other tracks at all. I’ll give you the “Why are expectations so high” and “Now I know”. But, okay? Lol
Sep 16, 2022 Not for me. MMLP2 and Revival was bad. Maybe a quick rollout with a week or two in advance of announcing it and doing something creative while promoting it, which I doubt Em or his team would do. But going on TV talk shows and giving generic interviews while performing singles on random platforms is tiresome and boring. The thrill of hearing a album from start to finish and going in blind is the best experience of hearing a album. Kamikaze drop was special, so maybe ifthey could balance doing a rollout wit that, then all for it. Traditional rollout of 3 to 4 months would be lame and wouldn’t work in this current era.
Sep 16, 2022 Kamikaze has a special place in my heart. I woke up to go to work, checked Facebook. Saw Eminem tweet something and I thought "oh wow he's promoting his label again". Closed the phone. Went to the kitchen to eat and continued to scroll. Saw the post again and then read the descrption. I was like YOOO WTF EM DROPPED OUT OF THE BLUE. Then I couldn't wait to get to work to listen to it. And when The Ringer started my colleagues continued to interrupt me to ask me stuff it was horrible. It was a good period for us and the hype was bigger (IMO) than with MMLP2. I'll always rate Kamikaze up there along with MMLP and TES.
Sep 16, 2022 this. I feel like %30 of the criticism is just jumping on bandwagon, not really listenin' or giving the album an actual chance while listenin, that album had some great content, great lyricism and not so bad deliveries minus the beats which effect the delivery... The rest of the criticism is from the poppy features and hooks and even more so by those beat selections. Believe works like a charm, Castle and Arose were amazing in that sense. But s--- like Bad Husband, Like Home were too poppy, they would have been classics if it wasn'T for those beats. I can let UNtouchable slide in a way but those rock influenced beats didn't work a bit neither unfortunately. If he did that album over a MTBMB kinda production, that s--- would have been at the level of MTBMB easily...
Sep 16, 2022 You said you got up to go to work, but you type like such an enormous fa---- it is clear you meant 8th grade
