We're talking about the album that broke absolutely all records and barriers and it STILL after almost 40 hasn't been outsold. He critiqued songs without any actual knowledge. I have no respect for the guy. He finds satisfaction in trashing the best artists and the best albums because it makes him look like he's doesn't follow what every else says, like he really has a mind of his own. A true free thinker. In case you haven't noticed, yeah... I hate him.
Sep 16, 2022 I disagree with this extremely heavily, they have no need to be part of magazines cause they make more money and have more control if they're independent. Being a part of a magazine doesn't automatically mean you know more about music. Shawn Cee also didn't like the new Kendrick album, and every person is going to have music biases anyway so at least if there is a bias it's with a good artist like Kendrick, they've both also voiced what they didn't like about some of his music multiple times as well lmao.

In fact, on second thought, 30 years ago, clowns like these would have probably been working at RollingStones or similar outlets, and we wouldn't even know their backgrounds. And they'd influence people's thoughts without ever showing their faces. At least now, thanks to the Internet, we know they are a bunch of high-profile losers with no degree, no career, no knowledge on the matter at all.
Sep 16, 2022 I'm saying anyone with a brain should be able to listen to a critic and compartmentalize their own opinion from the critics. There's plenty of movies and albums that don't get superb reviews but I personally find seeing what people didn't like about it interesting for specific things.
Sep 16, 2022 Agree. But h---, even with so called knowledge.. Like, on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes there are scores for movies. Both critic score and audience. Many times you see like a 3 from critics and an 8 from fans..... but why would I give a s--- what some critic thinks of it? Btw not saying I always agree with the audience score, but man a critic is gonna look if the camera wasn't placed 10 cm too high or if the subtext or background story is deep enough. Where audience is simple: did I like it or not? And honestly thats all I wanna know if I'm gonna watch a movie. Camera work can be amazing but if the movie sucks who gives a flying f---? Same w music.... content can be great, rapping super technical, but if it sounds like s---? And that is, in 100% of the cases, subjective. You simply can't rate it objectively thats bs.
