But people should not act like their view on it is the truth or that their opinion matters. Because none of our opinions on art matter

Sep 16, 2022 Sure, but if I was a Movies critique/Reviewer and I instantly trashed EVERYTHING (or almost) that a certain Director or Actor does just because I don't like HIM/HER particularly. Meanwhile after you watch those movies, you really liked them and whatever I said makes no sense... would you still be interested in my opinion? Or would you realize nothing coming out from those people will ever be appreciated or given a fair chance by me?.
Sep 16, 2022 I get your point but do you need a degree to be able to parse your thoughts on what separates good music from bad? I feel like listening to a large amount of different music and having a grasp on the different parts of the music making process and maybe some loose understanding of music theory can make someone a decent critic.

Sep 16, 2022 I wouldn't care about any of it if they didn't state their opinions as absolute facts while, at the same time, belittling fanbases. Like "oh you just like this artist's song/album because you're a fan". Stevie Knight, for example, has said multiple times he hates D12. Sometimes he gets asked to react/break a D12 songs and he does it but at the start of every video he makes his opinion very clear, so you know what you're getting into. He doesn't act like he's sophisticated and above everyone else.
