Sep 20, 2022 I feel like for more than half the album he keeps that No Favors kind of obnoxious and irritating voice, including some decent songs like Believe, but that last part was the only one where he didn't sound like a robot with a banana up his a--- and an razor cuttin his nostrils. maybe not like kamikaze but similar tone and style at least
Sep 20, 2022 Yeah, totally agree. Beat switch and everything about that part is top tier. Always sways off topic on most of his songs but stuck to it and delivered it well imo.
Sep 20, 2022 You're really missing the point. You said "Untouchable >>>>> Revival". So OF COURSE according to you there are going to be worst songs than Untouchable. You already made it clear with your statement. And I didn't even say Untouchable was the worst song on the album. I said it's not even top 10. There are 19 songs on the album. So not even sure what in the f--- you're yapping about.
Sep 20, 2022 You getting aggressive for no reason what so ever. General consensus is that Untouchable is one of his worst songs of all time. Not saying you said that, but that is the popular opinion and I disagree with it. I stated Untouchable Beat Switch >>>> Revival because that part is amazing and a highlight from the album.
Sep 20, 2022 I really don't care what his reasons are for liking it. And he's allowed to like it. I wasn't even getting cranky about the fact that he likes it lol. Personally I think a white guy rapping about black reality is cringe. I just don't want to hear it coming from a white guy. But to each their own.
Sep 20, 2022 Shows you what he’s still capable of when he hones in on the rapping approach without the bells & whistles — the bells & whistles being the 1st part, his attempt at making structured songwriting & it was awful. Whereas the 2nd part was purely focused on the topic at hand & rapping his thoughts into a mic & it comes across as intended. No technical oversteps even though it was extremely technical, cadences & rhymes schemes with occasional wordplay sprinkled in were going nuts, but they never detracted from the subject. I just wish he practiced more nuance in understanding why these types of songs got the responses they did, he seems to paint his fanbase as this homogenous pool of disdain for his music when most people practice quite a lot more restraint in calling things straight up trash, how we’re willing to dissect a full package into good/bad parts. But he’d rather complain about people’s misjudgment on the tracklist instead of acknowledging his missteps.
Sep 20, 2022 I already tried to get Sups security cause he keeps getting deeper in the streets with all these beefs. My take... if half of the song sucks, the song sucks. I was so disappointed the day it was released
Sep 20, 2022 Kamikaze had more impact for sure. Doesn't change the fact however: MTBMB Side A >>> Kamikaze
Sep 20, 2022 Em went hard here. People can say what they want about the Recovery era. I do miss the new found hunger he had.
Sep 20, 2022 Would love another Wayne collaboration tbh. Actually i'd love to see Em do a track with some of the current top dogs like he did with Wanye, Kanye and Drake on Forever. But i'm not sure it would turn out as good now.
Sep 20, 2022 Forget how bad all the verses on Forever are, apart from Ems. Maybe Em is just that good but Drakes and especially Kanyes were terrible.
