Aug 24, 2021 Has it? I think Side B is his best sounding album since Recovery, but those feats... man, they make me not want him to collab with other artists outside of his album. If he makes another bad collab with Nas for his album, I'm crying for real.
Aug 24, 2021 HITS = Happy Marsh, f--- the rest of the album. Gonna be dreaming about hits and charts tonight! Em last 3 first singles are all great f---ing songs. Fall, Darkness and Gnat is some of his best ever music to date, some of his best video visuals and all showcase the album theme well and relevant topics at the time. Perfect. You think Em sat at a table with the label and thought Darkness, a concept song about a mass shooter and gun laws would make the chicks go wild in the club and girls shaking their a--- all over the dance floor as it gets played on rotation as the biggest hit of the summer? Come on Marsh, think about what you’re saying. Compensating great music for cheesy, chart music.
Aug 24, 2021 You just skipped the whole part about me loving Side B, an album that didn't sell well and had no hits at all. Darkness is dope, but releasing it as a first single was as smart as releasing Walk On Water, don't see how a depressing song is a good first single And you keep forgetting how some of Em's best songs were huge hits
Aug 24, 2021 Why you guys obsessed with the club? lol he already did Killer and it's remix for the Sonic sequel soundtrack
Aug 24, 2021 Theres a reason it’s called Side B, it’s not a standalone album. It’s a bonusdisc. Sales for A and B counts together. He doesnt need to have a hit for Side B for the same reason. Godzilla was a hit, Side B is great.
Aug 24, 2021 Just jerk off to old Eminem chart numbers bro. Who gives a f---. Seriously. In none of your posts did you say if you liked Godzilla or any of the other songs you mentionned. All you do is talk about the numbers like it's the reason you listen to Eminem.
Aug 24, 2021 Ok, I'm the only one that wants Em to peak again lol I get it, it's cool it's just nostalgia.
Aug 24, 2021 I've literally said it lol, said the fast part gotta go in the other thread a couple mins ago 55 minutes ago I love Godzilla and Gnat, but the fast parts gotta go, specially in Godzilla where it ruins the vibe And why jerk off to the charts when I can jerk off while bumping his bigger hits than Godzilla?
Aug 24, 2021 This isn't me hopping on the "let's collectively clown on marsh" train but which features didn't you enjoy?
Aug 24, 2021 No, you're the only one to put so much importance to the mass appeal of the music an artist puts out rather than judging the actual music.
Aug 24, 2021 I don't wanna go all the way back so let's just say I'm still disappointed about EPMD 2 and that Em Killer remix s----d. Which is weird, cause I love his flow on the original, why f--- it up like that?
Aug 24, 2021 I already judged every album and feature when they dropped, even track by track. Now I just miss when he was bigger, and wish the albums were better and promoted, even though like I just said, I think Side B is pretty good except for it being a bit childish.
Aug 24, 2021 Nah, I think the feats are good on his albums, except for Those Kinda Nights which imo is awful. That's why I hope Nas sent him a verse.
Aug 24, 2021 Does bigger hit to you mean better song? Because it seems like that's what you base your own appreciation of a song on. And I don't follow what you post in every thread. All I know is popularity, sales and s--- is something you bring up very often. More than the music what you like/dislike about the music. Anyway i'm done talking about this. I think we've covered all the points already lol
Aug 24, 2021 even if it comes off as abrasive coming from some people I think people's point is that it makes more sense to ask for better music than bigger music ya feel me but i guess it's understandable that you would like both
Aug 24, 2021 Like Talking to a brick wall haha. Like I explained in my reply to you. You think he didn’t know that. Song has a important message, fits the theme of album, title and is a great, powerful song. Good choice to lead off with. in your world, I bet you would want Those Kinda Nights to be the lead single from the album, yes? A generic chick song and generic hook from a pop artist. Imagine if he did a traditional roll out of the album and released Those Kinda Nights way before the album drop and the title of album was called MTBMB hahah. Would have got panned harder than anything he did n Revival.
