Oct 7, 2022 Idk, I really liked 444, Donda had some great songs between all the filler and weak ones, Nas just dropped Magic last year and Wayne has been killing some features. I care way more about these guys than the new gen tbh.
Oct 7, 2022 444 was 5 years ago. Personally never cared about that album. Donda was a massive piece of turd. Life of Pablo was probably his last listenable album. It's still trash but in hindsight it's not that bad when you look at how far gone Kanye is now. But if we're being real MDBTF is probably his last really good album (No Yeezus pls) Carter V was pretty good. Still, we're very far from Black Album, Graduation/808 and Carter II/III days.
Oct 7, 2022 There's so many rappers these days. It's a good and bad thing. Good because there's a lot of material to listen to. But bad because a lot of people sound the same and not many releases feel special. When Jay Z, Wayne, 50 or whoever would drop new music it felt like this larger than life thing. 90s same thing even if most of us weren't even around. There was Big, Pac, Dre etc.. There was a handful of artists that would stand above the rest that made people feel the same way an Em fan would when there's a new album. I don't see this in any of the current generation. Not a fan, but Drake is probably the last one of these "larger than life" artists. And Kendrick.
Oct 7, 2022 If you're a fan of music that sounds like a 4 year old with ustensils hitting pots and pans and making random noises I guess it does. You could also call it art and "genius".
Oct 7, 2022 Some absolute classics on Yeezus. I miss the days when Kanye was all about the music. Couldn’t give a f--- about his fashion or social media rants.
Oct 7, 2022 lol they already say that about Black Panther. The best MCU movie ever they say Killmonger was the cool one and he's dead.
Oct 7, 2022 Tbf I am an avid hyperpop enjoyer so he's not necessarily wrong, I do think production on Yeezus and a lot of hyperpop s--- is great and it's zero attention span friendly lol
Oct 7, 2022 Yeah, but still Jay hasn't dropped since then I liked Yeezus, part of Pablo and even Ye, yes I liked Ye lol. Donda had some good songs, I think it's better than Jesus is King. Wayne has dropped weak albums, but his Carter projects tend to be good. It seems like he just started working on C6 though. And Nas just dropped Magic, and his KD series isn't bad. Hope KD3 will drop soon. Maybe even a collab with Wu.
