Oct 24, 2022 All the posts I’ve seen people simping for Taylors sales in the last few pages. I’ve not seen anyone talk about the quality of the album, madness. Eminem is never going to sell anything close to Swift’s numbers or popularity now, no matter what promo he does or the quality of his album. Need to Stop comparing popular artists from a completely different genre that caters to making popular music to a rapper who been around 25 years and is in twilight of his career. It’s insane that Eminem still has the longevity and interest he does now, so what he does or doesn’t sell, not important like it was years ago. His future albums will sell less and less, so strap in if you care about his sales a lot because you’ll be disappointed.

Oct 25, 2022 I agree 100%. I loved The Lost Boy by Cordae but he really f---ing disappointed me with that last album of his that was boring as h---. My respect for you just grew so much for you buying these and I don’t even know why I think the album is actually amazing. I’m not even a Taylor Swift fan, but this album made me one. It’s a grower album for sure— first time I heard it I thought it was a 6/10 but now I think it’s 8/10. She has good lyricism, storytelling, imagery, and singing all while keeping the songs catchy. The instrumentals match the theme of Midnights so well, never getting too intense but never being too in the background either. The instrumentals also fit the lyrics very well, especially on “Bejeweled”, where the instrumental sounds shimmery just like jewels. There are some bad moments on the album though like her “sexy baby” line on “Anti-Hero”… even though it’s a reference to a TV show it still sounds weird and should’ve been worded differently. Also I forget which song (I think it’s “Bejeweled”) but there’s a moment where she uses this high pitched auto tune in the bridge that sounds really bad.
