Dec 14, 2022 A fully Dre produced album will never happen again imo. The few tracks he has credited on Ems last few albums are basically co-production or just adding little touches to the songs. Even for Dres projects, he is just overlooking it all and not producing much. Basically an overseer now, plus Em seems to like working with a collection of producers so I doubt it. I rather Eminem do something new anyways and not do something for nostalgia reasons, or something he done a million times.
Dec 14, 2022 We've only had one fully produced Dre album that was probably the last true "classic" Eminem sounding album. I would love for him to lock in with one producer for a unified sound. Look at how well it's worked for Nas and Hit Boy.
Dec 14, 2022 But this is what I don’t get. Why do you want something that was a “Classic” and for him to go back to that and try to capture it. It’s desperate and it wouldn’t sound like how you think it would, nostalgia blinds everyone. He should always evolve and try to create something new. One of Eminems biggest flaws is relying on past music and trying to capture a certain time from his early albums, it falls flat every time he does like MMLP2. Relapse is a cult classic to his fanbase because it sounds different to anything he done before and was evolution of a sound that we’ve not heard from him, that’s why it’s a well loved album. Same for Dre producing that album, it was different to anything he done before and why it took time for the album to be appreciated. Relapse was obviously influenced from his early albums but nothing about it was trying to copy that time. It is its own thing. If Eminem went into album of I want to make SSLP or MMLP. Give me Dre, Bass Brothers and rap about rapeing his own mother, k--- his wife and kids, it would completely fail and be beyond corny.
