Apr 27, 2023 Yes, that was one thing i thought about. The point of Kamikaze was to drop it as a surprise, and not promote it in advance. A surprisedrop was also a fresh thing for Em at the time, and doing this right after Revival made the impact bigger. After the album he dropped four videos from an 11 track album which is alot, he made a longass interview, and he responded to MGK diss, and made the whole event with empire state building like u said. @Marsh is still not happy, saying something like MGK made Kamikaze era interesting or something. U think Em should not respond to MGK? Or what u want him to do? If he didnt respond he would be accused of not having the balls to against a goof like MGK. If he does respond then he’s a p---- for not going against real rappers.. (thats not Marsh though, thats generally)..
Apr 27, 2023 Kamikaze is how you should release and promote an album in this current era. Dropped the music, internet exploded, plenty of music videos,good interview about the process of it all and cut out all the BS of s-----y tv interviews , performances and all that and then moved on. Pretty much perfect. Pretty sure if there wasn’t a global pandemic soon after releasing MTBMB then it would have played out different. It stopped the whole world lol. How can you moan about that.

And I don’t know if you remember that he performed on top of the Empire State Building to promote the album on TV The interview is the same he could do anywhere else. He just wants to be interviewed by people who work for him just in case.

Apr 27, 2023 Been a few features I listened to once or twice over the past couple of years then sent to the recycle bin… last one standing, use this gospel, one on Nas album. Probably more I erased from memory. Parables wasn’t so bad to me like everyone was making out but I couldn’t give a s--- about how well a song is mixed really. Homicide, Gospel, Walkthrough, and Moon man and slim shady were all absolute fire though
