May 19, 2023 Kendrick is definitely not a feature artist but he still has some really good ones, I really like the Baby Keem songs but they took a while to grow on me. I can't say anything to you disliking everything since GKMC but that's in the area of subjectivity but some of his best songs came after Good Kid imo.
May 19, 2023 I think if you connect that heavily with the message that's fair. TPAB is his masterpiece no matter how many people in here say otherwise lol. Understandable why GKMC is a lot of people's favorite though, very digestible without being overly commercial like the hits on d--- even if i like most of those songs.
May 19, 2023 Some of it I connect with, some I don’t. My connection to it does give me a lot of bias toward Mr. Morale, but I think his execution of the concept is his most clever yet. The way the two sides of the album mirror each other (and the album ending with a song called Mirror) while touching on so many different topics but somehow connecting them through all the songs in a way that builds upon each other while also not crumbling in isolation is brilliant. I also think the album has the best balance of bops, hype songs, and meaningful songs out of all his albums while still making sense within the concept. It definitely is. I feel as if a bunch of people here feel like they’re getting preached at when they’re told about black America’s problems. Yeah, GKMC is definitely his most normal style of rap. People here didn’t like how he started using “weird” voices even though they listen to Eminem who uses weird voices all the time and has one of the most nasally rap voices ever

May 20, 2023 It is preachy at times, yes, but I don’t see that complaint come up for other albums. I have a sneaking suspicion certain people here wouldn’t be complaining about the preachiness if it didn’t have to do with black people. Maybe I’m wrong.

May 20, 2023 Society is fine today, social media makes attention seeking victims trendy. Takes away from the people who are actually struggling. Its a sad backwards little society we live in. All the people of colour i know hate the constant pity party bs in society today.
