May 29, 2023 The newest Shady Records signee has been productive recently and is about to introduce his new project to the world. Grip said in one of his interviews that slow pace adopted by major labels does not sit well with his temperament. He likes to drop his music while it’s hot and move on to his next project. A waiting game of waiting for sample clearance and dealing with legalities goes against his creativity. That’s probably why the Atlanta rapper releases his songs and a mixtapeindependently. Nothing has changed, it seems. Announcing his new project on Twitter, GRIP is already thinking about new music:

And it’s not an age thing either because both young rappers and old rappers are doing it… LL Cool J, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, the list goes on…

May 29, 2023 I forgot to mention I listened to Eminem yesterday for the first time in like 9 months. “Role Model” came on in the shuffle. What a great song with so much personality and creativity. It’s songs like that that make you realize Eminem was special. Love the “I’m going to attempt to drown myself” intro as well
May 29, 2023 One of my favorite lines off of SSLP. As The World Turns "I started to beg "No, please let go" But she swallowed my f---in' leg whole like an egg roll" Story telling was really good in that song. Juvenile but hilarious at the same time.
