He just raps about his life or relating everything to himself, no one wants to hear him recycle the same topics once again or a million punchlines about how much money he has. Infinite amount of ideas and concepts he can rap about but he doesn’t do it. He is creative enough to make concept albums but he has no interest to do so, in fear of criticism and bad reactions. Needs to step up big time with the creativity
Jun 18, 2023 I'm not mad that he's taking this long to release. By the time Side B came around his content was severely suffering. Just felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again. While I'm generally a fan of Side A & B, his content and incessant use of puns grew tiresome. IF he's crafting a pure hop hop album with good production and rap features that is based on storytelling (I want another concept album akin to 8 Mile), then he can take as long as he wants. I just want an objectively good album. But historically whenever he's taken his time on albums they usually turn out s---. If he doesn't know what he wants to create for his next project and he's in writers block or lacking motivation then I'll be worried. Let's be honest he's covered so many topics throughout his career, he doesn't really have much left to say. Eminem is at his best when there's drama going on in his life. Since Relapse he's literally been a hermit. That's why I'm hoping for another concept album, even though I much prefer his personal/introspective songs. I can't take another album of fast flows and dad jokes about how he's the GOAT or how much money he has. Edit: @Supersonic just seen your post, I completely agree. His creativity since Relapse has fell off a cliff. Even Side A/B felt like a modern rehashed version of Relapse with the Hitchcock theme, albeit he was using it as a metaphor to stake his claim on being the best rapper, i.e. "murdering you with my music"

Jun 18, 2023 He does step outside of the box occasionally with concepts such as Darkness but those are few and far in between. Like you said, he generally raps about himself and everything that pertains to himself has been run into the ground. I'd love to see him touch on new topics. It could be about some freaking tribe in africa idgaf. Just not another rehashed topic about himself or how he feels, complaining about critiques or just rapping nonsense like potatoes and chainsaws.
