Sep 2, 2023 It’s called intellectual property for a reason. And it’s legal to request an organization or political entity to not use your copyrighted content. I mean it may sound silly. But say a KKK group ran for legislature and made a taylor swift song thier official campaign song. Like she has every right to tell them not yo use her s---. Or if you were a producer and someone uses your music as an influencer on YouTube. This is why copyright infringement was made. It’s not just for plagiarism. It’s also for promotion. If I had a hit song and an organization against my ideals and values was performing it to millions and gave my audience a negative perception of myself, I’d take action too. Y’all would know if you had work or content that affects millions. Not everything is just black and white.
