Sep 19, 2021 A & B were great. I’m not mad at the theme. Hope it sounds like it’s own album though if that makes sense
Sep 19, 2021 Hope this is just bored fans, that s--- is played out. Need a new theme for the next album.
Sep 19, 2021 New theme of an album won't make the music itself is any different you act like side a and b had or stuck to a theme of horror or Alfred Hitchcock lmfao if you look at music to be murdered by as beats he's killed as he said in his post for side a then it's a lot better theme wise but yeah music won't be much different different title or not
Sep 19, 2021 I just want him to move on. I think we all know the love songs and the "funny" songs will still be there. The music also sunded nothing like the cover made you think it would, that's another reason to pick a new theme.
Sep 19, 2021 It’s clearly a good theme for him. Good music is good music. If he was driven enough to craft a third installment. Why would anyone be mad at that?
Sep 19, 2021 Really thinking this project is sooner than we think. No big projects are dropping soon right? Who knows when Utopia, The Party Never Ends, or Kendrick’s album will drop. Really think this album has a chance of dropping before Halloween
Sep 19, 2021 I'm talking A and B. Doubt he would stick to the theme on the third one all of a sudden tho. I still don't see the connection to the theme other than the skits
Sep 19, 2021 I think Kendrick is next, he kinda ceeated some hype with that collab he did from what I've seen. Also read about Adele dropping in November. Not sure how official that is tho.
Sep 19, 2021 Yeah I loved the skits. I liked a lot of the songs but they didn’t mesh well with the skits. If they did then it would’ve been a much darker album.
Sep 19, 2021 I think the theme was supposed to be he was murdering the beats with his lyrics, not the actual content being about him murdering people. I don't know if he would ever do that again after Relapse but I agree the theme and cover didn't fit the music at all and maybe it was for the best but when you think of the name, the photoshoots, the cover and then the Alfred Hitchcock themes it could have been done right and I think Side B hit more of those notes than Side A.... I like the first 4 songs on Side B and think they fit together well and the rest of it has a little bit of everything else but it tends to flow quite well. It's more of what the Music To Be Murdered By theme should have been. I don't think he has ever changed. I think going back to The Slim Shady LP he always tried to do a bit of everything, a song about his upbringing, a song about his love life, a fun party song, a song for radio, a song for the hip hop heads. I think a lot of fans aren't keen on some of those songs now because they feel like he's forcing them on the albums, almost as if he has to force another love song, he's trying to create another club b-----r but it really just comes down to what you personally like. The stuff that I'm not that keen on from Side A tends to be the stuff with the features because it just leans too heavily on rap and as a fan of Eminem's solo albums, those songs were few and far between, really only the features and even then the features tended to change their style to fit Eminem's album, it still felt like an Eminem song where as on Side A I felt like a lot of it was Eminem doing their style and the beats were in the style of what is on radio today and going back to side B, especially the first 4 tracks it just shows, and even with Guns Blazing and Discombobulated, that style of production will never go out of fashion, it will always work and it still works. You don't have to change to fit in but I'm glad he did it because it shows he can do the same music that's popular on radio today and I'm sure those songs are popular and loads of people listen to them because of that. I wouldn't mind a Side C at all just to hear some new music or even more outtakes from the MTBMB sessions. I'm a big fan of the Shady XV album and I think that's because a lot of it was leftovers from the MMLP2 sessions and some were new songs that were just sitting there and there was no projects to use them for. It sounded a bit bare and raw and it was mostly just him doing everything from production to his own hooks and that's more of what I would want to hear, just a collection of songs where they have intros and the beat fades out at the end and they're not really made to be in a particular order, they don't fade into each other, there's no story to tell, just music and every song is a little different. It's a way to release new music that maybe didn't make it onto the main project but are still good enough that you want people to hear them and there's no big pressure of a new album and trying to work out themes and singles and do videos and photoshoots etc.
Sep 19, 2021 No idea I enjoy the music he's made album title doesn't mean much to me so if he wants to call it another thing or keep MTBMB idc
