Nov 2, 2023 Maybe is an unpopular opinion but im a bit tired of the horror / serial killer theme of the lasts projects. He did that on mtbmb and sslp2 would be basically the same. If he is going to milk the name of sslp and then make an album full of “fun love songs”… meh. He can keep that for him.
Nov 2, 2023 I don’t care what theme he does. I just want good music . If he does another horror theme and it’s on the caliber of MTBMB. I’m fine with it. That’s better than dropping a album he’s not really into and we get another revival
Nov 2, 2023 Hey all, I'm as excited as anybody at the prospect of new album buzz. But I wanted to offer up a non-album explanation for the wording on the merch drop. A lot of people are latching on with "no way this isn't an album hint" and I wanted to offer up a counterpoint. To set the stage: The new "Shady Rated R" merch drop includes a hoodie with text on it that says "Eminem returns in the latest installment of the Slim Shady trilogy". Some people have taken this as a for sure sign that a slim shady album is coming. They rationalize that SSLP -> Relapse -> New Album is the trilogy being referred to. I've even seen SSEP -> SSLP -> New Album which seems like a real stretch. Non-album explanation: The merch drop is horror/slasher movie themed. The text on the hoodie matches up with something like "Jason returns in the latest installment of..." So why would they specify "Trilogy"? Isn't that too specific? Why not franchise? Must mean an album is coming! Not really. In the modern era, Eminem's merch team has handled a few other drops using the "SHADY _______" branding. SHADY FOOTBALL, SHADY DEMOLITION, and now SHADY RATED R. Yep, this is the latest installment in the slim shady merch trilogy. You can verify this on the Eminem store, under "COLLECTIONS". And that very well could be all there is to it. Just wanted to offer that up so if an album doesn't drop people don't lose their minds. But who am I kidding, we still will.
Nov 2, 2023 This explanation is the stretch. The Shady-part in the name is a trademark name, nothing else. Nobody is naming merch a thrillogy. And even id its just about merch, that is because it is based on movie themes.
Nov 2, 2023 So there are only two Rated R merch drops. Only way this is the third of a trilogy is if we include the Shady Camp drop, that had nothing to do with Halloween in the first place
Nov 2, 2023 There is no doubt in my mind that EM picks up everyone's tab. He still helps Proof's family and his mom; no matter how he feels about Debbie. And probably other people we don't know even exist. He's white trash done good, so to speak, never got past 9th grade. I give him so much credit that he persevered in a predominantly Black profession and, as a whitey, and that man sure is white!, succeeded. He's not a spendthrift, by a long shot, and I believe he feels good about being able to help everyone out. Boy done good!
Nov 2, 2023 Since his comeback, Relapse was the only album he wanted to do and this is the reason why its a classic. All the others album were Paul's or Dre's idea and non of them can reach Relapse
Nov 2, 2023 Biggest mistakes he did: -> Not releasing an Solo Album in 2001 and 2003 -> Scrapping Relapse 2 -> Revival
Nov 2, 2023 Can someone explain why we dont have fake tracklist with fake cover and snillets anymore? Last time we had the January L. This one was a pretty good one
Nov 2, 2023 People are caring less and less about new Eminem releases as time goes on. It’s natural. Him constantly putting out new merch and selling s-----y NFTs definitely isn’t helping. He’s more of a puppet than ever before.
