Nov 25, 2023 Yeah both MTBMB sides had good stuff, whenever I remember them I only think of the shittier parts for some reason (not on purpose) but yeah, it had its moments
Nov 25, 2023 Honestly if you took only the best stuff from MTBMB sides A and B you could have a good album. The problem is that Em still lets mediocre or bad songs like Stepdad or Tone Deaf onto the tracklists
Nov 25, 2023 Do you do anything with your life besides arguing online? Basically all i see when i come on now, must be a swell life you have. You really whonked me good with that reply
Nov 25, 2023 It was the way I had thought about Recovery for many years. Yesterday, I made a playlist of it and enjoyed it as a whole. Then I realised it was as much as 10 songs. Not bad for an album I remembered as utter trash.
Nov 25, 2023 Funny, I thought Tone Deaf was one of the better songs on both sides. Though I wouldn't care enough to argue against it being mediocre, esp by the (probably unrealistic) standards I still hold him to.
Nov 25, 2023 There's this weird fuzzy buzz periodically in the background of the tone deaf beat that makes me want to put a revolver to my temple
Nov 25, 2023 So i checked a bit of travis scott fortnite concert, i can't make out if it's just the actual songs being played or if he did some sort new recording of them to make them sound fresh/being perfomed live or w/e. I know nothing about fortnite, but if this is just an Em made up by some pixels moving around to his songs and his fortnite radio announcements in between songs is created by AI (sounds like it), which means he literally does nothing for this, this is such a big cash grab to the point where it's hilarious. I can hear Paul's big grin still widens. Still tho, this is too random with everything else combined not being a build up to a drop. He wants the attention it's obvious
Nov 25, 2023 I originally liked Tone Deaf, but over time I’ve grown to somewhat dislike it (Eminem is one of the only artists I experience this with). I find Eminem’s delivery on it to be quite monotone like much of Side B. That wouldn’t be so bad if the beat wasn’t also so minimal. Flow wise though I think it’s good. I also find the cringe Fortnite and bornana/ornana lines to be enjoyable when I normally wouldn’t. I think if the song had a beat with more than just basic elements to it I wouldn’t find it to be so mediocre
Nov 25, 2023 Yeah, it is a great opportunity for him to do a concert without leaving his home or basically doing anything.
Nov 25, 2023 Honestly a lot of modern day Eminem songs would be so much more enjoyable if he just had better beats. After Relapse the beat quality has been very inconsistent in my opinion. This doesn’t apply to Revival though… the rapping was also terrible there
Nov 25, 2023 I agree with your criticisms and that's exactly why I can't take much issue with "mediocre", though I tend to lean more towards "half decent". The counterthought I always have to thinking the delivery is monotone is that it kinda suits the song title. Of course, that doesn't do much to increase the song's replay value due to this flaw and the beat. Speaking of monotone, I really hate the "Lil Ceasers, grilled cheeses" part. He does something similar in that Moon Man song. So lazy.
