Dec 8, 2023 Or course there will be future Anniversary releases of albums. 20th 25th and 30th are all big and as we seen with MMLP2 10th Anniversaries aswell A lot of you need to remember that sampling and DJing is and was a big part of what made hip hop successful. That's why instrumentals and acapellas are important and do get released. It's also uncommon for rappers to release stuff from their vaults. Maybe rock bands and pop artists do but not many rappers have done it so it's still new territory and every 5 years gives a new chance to test those waters. The most recent was on Curtain Call 2 with Is This Love from the Relapse sessions so it's no like he's against doing it It's obvious with these Expanded Editions the want to release them physically so nothing that goes over the 80 minute limit of a CD. They really could have padded the MMLP2 release with more stuff, whether it be outtakes or even some live performances he did for SNL and the BBC. But we still have the 20th Anniversary for all that. I do think we will get that Expanded MMLP release but it will be a 25th Anniversary release and I think that deserves at least 3 CDs. I think we should definitely get some unreleased songs there, the original version of Amityville. Hopefully the uncut versions of I'm Back and Kim and yes instrumentals and acapellas! It deserves all the bells and whistles.
