Jan 5, 2024 You hear Taylor outside all the time lol and the radio plays her non stop. Should be doing the Super Bowl soon when Jay stops blocking her lol
Jan 5, 2024 I know and understand all of what you say here. I’m the one saying Eminem shouldn’t chase hits anymore. These guys are the ones who want a 50 year old rapper to keep pushing out hits so they can feel a bit of happiness in their miserable lives when they see him at the top of the charts since they live vicariously through him.
Jan 5, 2024 Meanwhile you and I be standing menacingly on the street corners making posts from our phones while Taylor swift blasting from some guy’s subwoofers 80 miles away
Jan 5, 2024 Exactly, it’s just not that kind of song. I don’t think they were aiming for a hit with that anyway (at least I hope they weren’t). Same with GNAT. Eminem’s first singles lately haven’t really been aiming to be big hits. Godzilla was but that was the second single
Jan 5, 2024 it kinda seems like we’re talking about his output from 4 years ago… yes that’s his last “album,” if you can even call it that, but this kind of timeframe’s become par with him. and i say this all the time, but as far as his recent work, gospel, utg, king & i, new jb&m verse, realest, lace it, even the beats he’s done for crooked, nassan, etc, are all being made with a level of clarity and preciseness he’s been missing for years. i do believe there will be a new album very soon and i believe it will be one of his best yet. really hoping there’s a song on that yellow m&m’s album or whatever it is because ever since 2021 i’ve literally enjoyed every song he’s made more than the last. and it’s been a very long time since i’ve been able to say that. even his interviews are becoming much more intelligible and lucid. i’m really glad it seems like he’s in a better place now and making good music i can naturally enjoy listening to again. i’m right now very much looking at a bright future as far as eminem goes, as a person and as an artist
Jan 5, 2024 My new stan channel is attracting some real weirdos. One guy requested My Dad's Gone Crazy with the hook removed, and another guy requested Drug Ballad without Dina Rae. WTF?!
Jan 5, 2024 honestly, this is a really good question. obviously this is mostly conjecture, but… he was on quite a roll after recovery. all the inspirational empowerment stuff with amazing sonics like lighters, rap god, dve, phenomenal, kings never die, speedom, medicine man, etc and those 8-10 minute freestyles he’d been doing with crazy multisyllabic rhymes and dense metaphors and relevant social commentary. it seemed like on xv and southpaw he really found a style and direction he liked. but then there were those weird reports he couldn’t even hear himself in the booth anymore because of health issues, and other reports saying he scrapped the album he was working on after southpaw to make revival instead. and we all know what happened there, half of the album is some of his most intricate, self aware work to date but the other half is totally unlistenable. that chlora remix he hit back with is one of his best songs ever, and there’s been some other gems here and there, like greatest, venom, killshot, darkness, i will, book of rhymes… but i thought kamikaze and mtb largely missed the mark. they lacked his trademark over the top energy, and i did not enjoy them very much at all. i think people’s reception to revival, maybe some stuff happening in his personal life, there were reports he was back with tracy mcnew, along with the global crisis, contributed a good deal to his lack of motivation and focus during that time, and the marked increase in the quality of his stuff since 2021 underscores these points. that’s why i wrote a couple pages back that gospel was such a breath of fresh air, and he’s been steadily improving, dramatically so, in every aspect since then. i think what he’s working on right now is going to be really special, to be quite honest
Jan 5, 2024 https://www.entrepreneur.com/busine...ction-order-against-2-bravo-housewives/467779 Bro, are we all certain that Eminem (Paul) isn't taking a huge cut from Hailie's podcast? They're claiming to own the word "Shady", and that they're concerned that Eminem will be misconstrued with a podcast hosted by two Bravo TV housewives. Apparently it was Paul's idea to take legal action, and Eminem doesn't even know what the f--- is going on claiming that Paul should be deposed in front of a judge instead because "it was his idea, and he knows more about this stuff than I do" (paraphrased). Seems like Paul saw abother podcast with "Shady" in the title, got worried that he'd lose money from his Hailie podcast side hustle, then launched a legal assault against these two TV personalities. So f---ing bizarre, man.
