People just want it for the nostalgia sake & will whine when it’s out & yet again not living up to the standard. I hate it when artists rehash because they have an imagination barrier, it’s gross. Move on, create something fresh for once.

Sep 24, 2021 Wayne had the same issue and that’s why it didn’t live up to the standard and came and went lol Using the excuse that MTBMB suffered from lack of content doesn’t make MMLP3 any more of a good idea, the problem exists in both but would only be heightened by a name like that. Content as in talking about another album, again? That’s all he does, talks about how he came up, what he did before, it’s boring. We’ve heard it, again and again and again. MMLP2 was a marketing money grab anyway. It didn’t even stick to the MMLP theme but it did revisit the 1st trio in a generalised way. It’s been done. He said ‘one last time I’m back’ and closed the chapter, the house has been bulldozed, we’re over 20 years later now. Em’s fans seem to lack more imagination than himself at this point.

Sep 24, 2021 man I gotta agree with MichaelsMad on this one. I don't like rappity rap s--- neither. Superman is my fav Em track sonically lately, so you can see what kinda music I'm into, smooth, slow paced rapping over dope authentic rap beats. btw Em production on TES is still unmatched to me. And actually that was the magic of MTBMBs too, he was highly involved in production appearantly. He still can do music as sonically pleasing as he used to do but he tends to sacrifice it sometimes for the sack of rhyming and bars. The fact that MTBMB exists is the proof he still has that sonical creativity. I wouldn't think Bass Bros had that much of a part in Em's success as they might suggest from time to time. Those who act as if Em would be the same as he was back in 02 if he hooked up with Bass Bros is just a delusion. You guys should realize, Em wants to do that s---, he does it for the sport. He likes to rap fast and rhyme as much word as possible, that's a challenge to him, he can still be calm as he was in Castle, Darkness, Stepping Stone etc. songs with a message to deliver. He

Sep 24, 2021 Totally agree with everything you just said. He’s done it before and it wasn’t that good or memorable. Relying on nostalgia all the time is cheap snd desperate, it is sign of a artist who no longer has it and is just pandering to the fans who are also stuck in that mindset of nostalgia because of something he did 20 YEARS ago. Move on, come up with something bigger, be more creative and create something that fans will think fondly of in years to come. Resorting back to the OLD SLIM SHADY, making a sequel to Stan or dyeing his hair blond is what I see people saying and it’s like come on, move on. Not only has he done all that before, it never really worked and doing it the third time, just lacks any imagination at all. Next album needs to be completely new and fresh. Stop with the pandering, nostalgia and making a well rounded album to please everyone. He is one of the greatest and creative writers ever so just be brave, bold and create magic in a bottle again.
Sep 24, 2021 With how much people appreciate the boldness of the attempt of Relapse as far as stepping out of the norm and not conforming, it’s bizarre that I constantly see the takes of wanting rehashes, wanting mainstream collabs, working with trending producers etc. It’s like people don’t understand why they like certain stuff that he creates & that includes Em himself. When Em is at his best, is when he doesn’t sound like anyone else. When he’s doing something original. It’s nice for nostalgia sake to get something like Kamikaze where he’s fighting back, but it is a merely a moment, it shouldn’t be continuously relied upon, same with MMLP. Artists need to create art, not redo it. it’s also why the attempts at ‘sounding like old Em’ come off as grating & forced with the likes of Castle & Stepping Stone. They never hold up to the originals because they aren’t genuine attempts, they’re pandering to an audience that’s stuck in the past but they themselves would jump with joy if he was to create something as original as a Relapse. (No I don’t mean another serial killer concept). People just don’t know what they want till they get it, so they shouldn’t be listened to.
