Jan 31, 2024 I can see why you like “the cake is a lie” so much. It has a nice, hard hitting rock sound and is catchy af. I have similar thoughts about “arm and a leg”, “lastjune”, and “crisis actor”. The mixing really comes through. It’s a dope album for sure. It’s kinda short but I think that works to its benefit as it really packs a punch. Now I have to go back and listen to the rest of ericdoa’s discography as I’ve mostly only heard this album and his collab album with glaive
Jan 31, 2024 Her last album five seconds flat is one of my favorites of 2022. Very creative songwriting on both the lyrics side and the production side. That first 3 track run is one of the best parts as well as the last 2 tracks. There’s a few tracks that some might find a bit weaker in the middle, but “reckless driving”, “ceilings”, and “firearm” are pretty nice
