Sing For The Moment makes my top 3 eminem songs, it has a purpose, a message, great writing (he's doing storytelling, social talk, he's defending hip hop from critics, talking about kids listening to rap) it's one h--- of a song (sample, sound and all) and he manages to have immaculate techinque too while basically rapping a speech or a statement. Rhyme scheme especially on the first and second verse is just as good as his perfectly crafted meaningless verses he puts out now. I could almost agree if you were strictly talking about his recent approach but you just straight up said rhyming isn't difficult
Feb 9, 2024 Rhyming is second nature for Eminem . Sure it’s a knack and a trick at this point. but I could definitely do without the rappity Eminem. He gets too technical sometimes. He rhymes so many things and pronounces words a certain way and does all sorts of s--- too flex his pen game. But in all reality he has no need to show off. We just want good sounding music . He feels like he has to always raise the bar some how. We know wtf he can do.

I mean 2 or so years ago he had not one but TWO albums from over two decades ago in the top 10 Spotify most played rap albums of that year. Dude is out charting the current generation with songs he put out before they were even making music. eminem is the most accomplished rapper that there will ever be . And you sit here and think how could he be any bigger . But oh he can be . He keeps getting bigger.
