Feb 22, 2024 Another sequel wouldn’t be cool, just for nostalgia reasons, and rightfully so the album was called out for being named that. Album was just a bunch of records put together. Way too much going on with it. Stronger than I was to Rap God to Survival etc. All vastly so different, random and no cohesiveness from one track to the next. Songs on their own are mostly all good but that’s all the album is. A collection of songs that he put together. Would have made better sense with another theme and title.

Feb 22, 2024 MMLP2 is great to me but I didn't love it when it came out. I appreciated its lyrics though. Just after years it turned out to be the album of his with the most replay value to me. Revival is for me just an okay album with very good and very bad songs on it. For example, Funeral by Wayne is much worse, and I didn't see people crying about it for years.
Feb 22, 2024 On one hand I see your point. On the other hand I think the MMLP2 title fit the album and I’m not sure what else would’ve fit. He hasn’t been that personal on an album since. It’s mostly been emotionless stuff. I feel like a lot of topics addressed on MMLP are brought full circle and solved on MMLP2, especially with Bad Guy recontextualizing what Stan meant in his life 10+ years later as well as Headlights forgiving his mom. Then there’s Legacy which perfectly encapsulates Eminem’s story. You also have the callbacks to MMLP with the Parking Lot skit, So Far…, etc. Then there’s Evil Twin where he finally admits the line blurring Eminem and Slim Shady is no longer there. I feel like there’s a lot of important songs on MMLP2 when it comes to Eminem’s lore that people just overlook

Feb 22, 2024 Your dads gone crazy edit is f---ing horrible. The crazy doesn’t fit at all. Plus the way it’s repeated in the exact same tone just completely ruins the chorus. You could have at least wavestuned it to a different tone every time it’s repeated. It’s mixed horribly too. Should be ashamed of yourself for putting your name on that. Awful

Feb 22, 2024 It's a sample of 2001 Eminem saying the word that just happens to match the spoken length of the word in the hook. In that sense it's a great edit idea, since it's from the ideal year for this project and I didn't have to alter it in any way for it to fit quite well actually. Hailie repeats the line in the exaxt same tone every time because it's just the same unedited recording being repeated over and over, and isn't any less annoying really without my sample over it. I'll accept it could be mixed better. The album is a work in progress and that's one of my most recent edits so it's probably not the final version. You're welcome to try it yourself if you think you can do a better job.
