Mar 20, 2024 You guys put too much credence into the idea that Dre has a significant influence on Eminem’s music this far into his career. If Eminem was able to make Rain Man, Big Weenie, My 1st Single & Puke on Encore, do you really think Dre’s going to shelve Revival 15 years later? Let’s be serious for a second, Eminem sells regardless & he’s his own artist that makes his own decisions. Dre asking him “where’s the fun at?” In response to hearing Revival is probably an accurate assessment to him hearing a bunch of melodramatic love songs & whining about Trump for a whole album, it doesn’t mean it’s his fault Em’s creative reaction to that criticism was to make Heat & Remind Me. Dre isn’t ever stopping an Eminem release, for better or worse.
