Mar 24, 2024 My favorite song on d---. is “PRIDE.” That whole entire second verse has stuck with me since release, I felt it in my soul.
Mar 24, 2024 I wanted to ask you bro are those instrumentals on that YouTube page legit or did the guy make them on his own? If he made them on his own I'm impressed because that sounds like vintage Eminem. Somebody needs to tell him to do Spend Some Time. 20 years later and that instrumental is still so cold.
Mar 24, 2024 This is my guess too lmao. Also the ending for the “I’m gay too” version is more fleshed out and a bit longer so it probably was the reworked one. Glad it never came out (no pun intended)
Mar 24, 2024 “What If I Was Gay?” didn’t come out because Eminem didn’t feel like coming out a second time.
Mar 25, 2024 It’s a really chill yet emotional track where Kendrick asks himself and the audience some deep, philosophical questions. It also contrasts well with HUMBLE. because one would think HUMBLE. would be the quieter, chill track and PRIDE. would be loud and in your face but instead it’s the other way around. It also has Steve Lacy on the chorus which is really dope
Mar 25, 2024 They've gotta be legit I'd say. If not he should be making his own music LOL. The last few seconds of Hailie's Song is soooo good I amplified and extended (looped) it a bit. Of the extended beats he's uploaded only Amityville and Deja Vu ever sounded to me like they could have been fan made somehow (not from scratch but with clever editing). Hailie's Song and Marshall Mathers are practically speaking unfakable I'd say. There's also CWYWF with extended news clips about D12 which I'd never heard before, and it's obviously the same dude and lady talking.
Mar 25, 2024 The hook can be a bit annoying, gonna peep whatever project he has coming out though if this isn't just a loosie. Freestyle was cool tho
Mar 25, 2024 Spend Some Time is one of the instrumentals that sound like it might go on a bit longer. Stimulate, Revelation, Elevator too. Would love to hear all of them.
Mar 25, 2024 Crazy how d--- is one of his weaker albums and it's still better than most of the output from his contemporaries.
